Indian Air Force invited applications for AFCAT 01/2025 and NCC Special Entry Scheme to join as Commissioned Officers (PC/ SSC) for courses commencing in Jan 2026. All eligible unmarried male and female candidates can apply online for the Air Force Common Admission Test and NCC Entry Vacancies through afcat.cdac.in from 02nd Dec to 31st Dec 2024. IAF AFCAT and NCC Special Entry Course 2025-2026 as online application form, vacancy details, eligibility criteria, selection process, notification, syllabus, question paper etc is given below.
AFCAT and IAF NCC Special Entry 2025-2026
Pay Scale and Allowances – Rs 56100-177500 (As per 7th CPC Defence Pay Matrix level 10) MSP 15500 plus allowances (Flying, Transport, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance etc). Fixed stipend of Rs 56100/- per month during one year of training.
Branch-wise Vacancy Details:
AFCAT Entry:
Flying – 30 Vacancies.
Ground Duty (Technical) – AE(L): 122 Vacancies and AE(M): 67 Vacancies.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) – WS Branch: 17 Vacancies, Admin: 53 Vacancies, Logistics: 16 Vacancies, Accounts: 13 Vacancies, Education: 09 Vacancies and Meteorology: 09 Vacancies.
NCC Special Entry (Flying) – 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.

Eligibility Criteria (Age and Educational Qualification)
Age Limit (As on 01st Jan 2026):
Flying Branch (AFCAT and NCC Entry) – 20 to 24 years i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Jan 2002 to 01 Jan 2006 (both days inclusive).
Ground Duty (Technical and Non Technical) Branch – 20 to 26 years i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Jan 2000 to 01 Jan 2006 (both days inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
Flying Branch – Graduate Degree (Three year course) in any discipline with minimum 60% Marks and 50% Marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level. OR BE/ BTech Degree (Four years course) with minimum 60% marks and 50% Marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.
Ground Duty (Technical) Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics/ Mechanical) – Passed 10+2 with minimum 50% Marks each in Physics & Mathematics and a minimum of 04 years Degree Graduation/ Integrated Post-Graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch:
Weapon Systems (WS) Branch – 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks each in Maths & Physics and Graduation with minimum 03 years degree course in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or BE/ B.Tech degree (04 years course) from a recognised University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Administration and Logistics – Graduate Degree (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with 60% Marks or equivalent qualification.
Accounts – BCom Degree/ BBA/ CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA/ BSc with specialization in Finance, with minimum 60% Marks or equivalent qualification.
Education – 10+2 Pass and Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG (Single degree without permission to exit and lateral entry) and with 60% marks in Graduation in any discipline.
Meteorology – 10+2 Pass and B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent or 04 years Graduation in Engineering/ Technology discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in relevant streams.
IAF NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch) – Graduate Degree (03 years course) in any discipline with minimum 60% Marks and 50% Marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level. OR BE/ BTech Degree (04 years course) with minimum of 60% marks and 50% Marks each in Maths & Physics at 10+2 level.
Candidate must have acquired NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate. The validity of the certificate is two years from the date of issue. The written exam is exempted for NCC Special Entry candidates and they will be directly called for AFSB testing at one of the AFSB centres.

Selection and Recruitment Procedure
Candidates whose applications are submitted by due date will be called for AFCAT at one of the examination centres. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of AFCAT will be called for Stage-1, Stage-2 & Flying Branch tests at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysuru, Gandhinagar, Varanasi and Guwahati.
Thereafter, Medical examination will be conducted at AFCME, New Delhi or IAM Bengaluru. Candidates who qualify in all respects will be shortlisted by the final merit list depending upon available vacancies under branches/ sub-branches.
Candidates are advised to be physically fit at the time of reporting for SSB in order to be able to undergo the tests at AFSB. Candidates should aim to have the ability to run 01 Mile (1.6 Kms) in 10 minutes, do 10 Push-ups and 03 chin-ups.

Online Application, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and desirous candidates may apply online for the AFCAT and IAF NCC Special Entry Officer Vacancies 2025-2026 through the website afcat.cdac.in from 02nd Dec to 31st Dec 2024. Before filling online form, keep ready relevant documents details and scanned image of passport size colour photograph, signature and thumb impression (each 10 kb-50 kb in jpeg format) for submitting with the online application.
In the registration process you have to note down the system generated Registration number for future correspondence. Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully and follow all the instructions given for submitting online application form.
Examination fee – Rs 550/- (not applicable for NCC Special Entry). The fee can be paid using credit card/ debit card/ net banking through the payment gateway.

- Last date of registration of online form: 31st Dec 2024 (11.30 PM)

Yes, if you have NCC Air Wing ‘C’ Certificate then you can apply.
No.if you have ncc c certificate with c grade then you are not eligible for ncc special entry.cadet who possess c certificate with either a or b grade is eligible
