All States Air Force Medical Assistant Recruitment 02/2026

Indian Air Force has invited applications to join as Airmen in Group Y (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade for Intake 02/2026. Eligible male Indian or Gorkha (a subject of Nepal) citizens of all states can apply online for IAF Medical Assistant Vacancies through airmenselection.cdac.in from 11 July to 31 July 2025. Details about Indian Air Force Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025-2026 like registration form, eligibility criteria, selection process, physical, exam syllabus, dates, notification etc are given below.

IAF Medical Assistant Recruitment 2025-2026

Married/ Unmarried male candidates having 10+2 or Diploma/ BSc in Pharmacy from all States/UTs of India can submit their registration form from 11th July to 31st July 2025 for the Air Force Medical Assistant Selection Test to be held from 25th September 2025 onwards.

Pay and Allowances – Rs 14600/- per month will be paid during training and Rs 26900/- per month including Military Service Pay (MSP) on completion of training. The airmen will be entitled to allowances like Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, Combined Person Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), Children Education Allowance, HRA etc.

Job Specification – As a Medical Assistant, you are trained in nursing and first aid. You also have to be involved in managing medical stores, dispensaries, ward supervision and other air force duties.

Age Limit:

Medical Assistant (for 10+2) – The candidate must be unmarried and born between 02 July 2005 and 02 July 2009 (both days inclusive).

Medical Assistant (for Diploma/ BSc in Pharmacy) – Unmarried candidate must be born between 02 July 2002 and 02 July 2007 (both dates inclusive). Whereas, married candidates must be born between 02 July 2002 and 02 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).

If a candidate qualifies all the stages of the selection process, the upper age limit as on the date of enrolment will be 21 years for candidates having 10+2/ Equivalent qualification including Vocational Course and 24 years for candidates having Diploma/ BSc in Pharmacy.

Educational Qualification:

Medical Assistant – Candidate should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in English. OR

02 years vocational course with non-vocational subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Medical Assistant (with Diploma/ BSc in Pharmacy) – Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

In addition, Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be mandatory requirement.

Selection Process, Physical and Exam Syllabus

The recruitment process for selection of Airmen in Group Y (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant trade consists of Phase-I (Online Test), Phase-II (Verification of Eligibility, Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test I & II) and Phase-III (Medical Examination), as given in detail below.

Online Test

Firstly, eligible candidates will be issued Admit Card for Phase-I (Online Test) on their registered e-mail ID between 2-3 days prior to the examination. You need to take a color printout of it and carry it to the exam center along with a blue/ black pen and original Aadhar card. The Admit card can also be downloaded under candidate login on the CASB website.

The online exam dates are scheduled from 25th September 2025 onwards. The online test will be objective type and the questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except the English paper. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for each wrong answer or choosing more than one option as answer.

The online exam will be of 45 minutes duration and will consist of a total of 50 questions (01 mark each) carrying a maximum of 50 marks. The questions will be based on English (as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) as per the pattern given below:

  • English: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA): 30 Questions (30 Marks)

Candidates have to pass in each paper separately, if normalization is applicable then normalized marks will be given. Phase-I Result and shortlisting for Phase-II will be uploaded on the candidate’s individual login ID on the CASB website, based on their performance in Phase-I (online test).

After the declaration of Phase-I Result, a fresh Admit Card for Phase-II test will be sent to the shortlisted candidates on their registered e-mail ID. This Admit Card for Phase-II Exam can also be downloaded online under candidate’s login on the CASB website. You are required to report at the designated ASC on the scheduled date and time for Phase-II along with the required documents.

Verification of Eligibility

Candidates must have the required documents mentioned below, which will be checked/ verified before the commencement of Phase-II to ascertain their eligibility. Without original educational mark sheet/ passing certificate and documents, candidates will not be allowed to appear in Phase-II of the selection process.

1. Colour print out of Phase-II Admit Card.

2. Colour print out of duly filled application form downloaded on completion of online registration.

3. HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and black/ blue ball point pen for writing.

4. Eight copies of unattested passport size color photograph (which was used for the online application registration).

5. Original and four self-attested photocopies of matriculation passing certificate (required for verification of candidate’s name, father’s name and his date of birth).

6. Original and four self-attested photocopies of 10+2/ Intermediate or equivalent/ vocational examination passing certificate and marks sheet.

7. Original and four self-attested photocopies of passing certificate and mark sheet of B.Sc/ Diploma in Pharmacy (if applicable).

8. Certificate of SOAFP (Son of Air Force Personnel) or Certificate for Son of serving/ retired/ deceased Air Force civilian employee (if applicable).

9. Original Phase-I Admit Card used during Phase-I test bearing Air Force seal and invigilator’s signature.
10. Body tattoo photographs with details of size and type of the tattoo.

11. Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC A/ B/ C Certificate (if applicable). The original NCC certificate must have the serial number, round seal of issuing authority and stamp of signing authority. The photograph affixed on the certificate must be attested by issuing authority with stamp.

12. NOC in original and four self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organisation (if applicable).

13. Original and four self-attested photocopies of Discharge Certificate (as issued from Indian Army/ Indian Navy/ Government Organisation at the time of discharge).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

After verification of eligibility you will be put through PFT. The Physical Fitness Test consists of two parts, PFT-I and PFT-II as follows:

PFT I – It consists of 1.6 Km run within 07 minutes for candidates upto 21 years of age and 07 minutes 30 seconds for candidates above 21 years of age and holding Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy.

PFT II – Candidates qualified in PFT-I will have to undergo PFT-II after a break of 10 minutes. PFT-II consists of 10 Push-ups (in 01 minute), 10 Sit-ups (in 01 minute) and 20 Squats (in 01 minute) for all candidates. Candidates are advised to carry their sports shoes and shorts/ track pants for Physical Fitness Test.

Adaptability Test-I

All candidates who qualify the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be required to appear for Adaptability Test-I (objective type written test) aimed at assessing the suitability of the candidate for employment in the Indian Air Force, which involves deployment in different geographical areas, weather and operational conditions.

Adaptability Test-II

All the candidates who qualify in Adaptability Test-I will have to appear for Adaptability Test-II as per the prevailing policy. The aim of Adaptability Test-II is to select candidates who can adapt to the Indian Air Force environment and are able to adjust to the military lifestyle.

Medical Examination

Candidates declared qualified in Adaptability Test-II will be issued Medical Appointment Letter by the concerned ASC. The medical examination will be conducted by the Medical Team as per Indian Air Force Medical Standards as mentioned in the IAF publications and prevalent policy on the subject.

Physical and Medical Standards:

Height – Minimum 152 Cms for Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant (Pharmacist).
Chest – The chest should be well proportioned and developed with minimum chest circumference being 77 Cms and minimum expansion being 05 Cms.
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
Dental – Should have healthy gums and good set of teeth with minimum 14 dental points.
Visual Acuity – 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.
Colour Vision – CP-II

Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 06 meters with each ear separately and should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. Candidates with a history of LASIK/PRK will not be accepted.

Candidate should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

The medical examination will also include the following basic tests: Blood Haemogram (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets); Urine RE/ME; Biochemistry (Blood Sugar Fasting/ PP, Serum Cholesterol, RFT- Serum Urea, Uric acid & Creatinine, LFT- Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT); Radiograph chest (PA view), ECG (R) and nny other investigation deemed necessary by the Recruiting Medical Officer.

Body Tattoo – Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, however tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms(inside of elbow to the wrist), back(dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of the palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom Traditions of their tribes may be considered. Candidates with permanent body tattoos are to submit two photographs (close up and distinct view) with details of size and type of the tattoo.

For selection as Airmen, Provisional Select List (PSL) will be prepared and the inclusion of candidates in the PSL will depend upon their performance in the selection test. Final enrolment will be strictly in order of merit from the PSL subject to medical fitness, availability of vacancies and meeting other eligibility criteria.

The Provisional Select List (PSL) for Intake 02/2026 will be published at all the ASCs on 15th May 2026 (including separate PSL for Diploma/ BSc in Pharmacy holders). The final Enrolment List for Airmen Intake 02/2026 will be published on 01st June 2026. The PSL/ Enrolment List will also be available on Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) website airmenselection.cdac.in.

Registration Form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for Indian Air Force Medical Assistant Recruitment through the website airmenselection.cdac.in from 11 July to 31 July 2025. Keep a valid email ID, mobile number and scanned copies of all required documents (10th/12th mark sheet/ certificate, Diploma/BSc in Pharmacy mark sheet, colour photograph, left hand thumb impression, signature etc.) ready before applying online.

To apply online, you will have to Register (Sign up) on the CASB website. Thereafter, you can submit the online application form for Medical Assistant trade or Medical Assistant (Pharmacist) as per your qualification.

Required Documents to Upload Online – The following documents need to be uploaded along with the IAF Medical Assistant Registration Form:

1. 10th Pass (matriculation) certificate.

2. 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent exam mark sheet with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English. OR 02 years vocational Course marks sheets of non-vocational subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.

3. Mark sheet of Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (for candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy).

4. Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before June 2025) of size 10 Kb to 100 Kb (front portrait in light background without facemask and head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.

5. Candidate’s left hand thumb impression image (size 10 Kb to 100 Kb).

6. Candidate’s signature image (size 10 Kb to 100 Kb).

7. Candidate’s parent’s (Father/ Mother)/ Guardian’s signature image (if candidate is below 18 years on the date of filling the online application).

Examination fee – Candidates will have to pay Rs 550/- plus GST as examination fee. The fee can be paid by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/ UPI.

Important Dates:
Starting date of online registration – 11th July 2025 (11 AM)
Last date for online registration – 31st July 2025 (11 PM)
Phase-I (Online Exam) date – from 25th September 2025 onwards
