Indian Air Force (IAF) has scheduled to organize an open recruitment rally for all the districts of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur and Sikkim for Intake 01/2027. The selection tests for Agniveer Vayu (Other Than Science Subjects) vacancies for the North Eastern States will be held at Chumoukedima (Nagaland) from 01 to 05 September 2026. Chumoukedima (Nagaland) Air Force Rally 2026
Unmarried male and female candidates from all the districts of the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim are eligible for the IAF Nagaland Recruitment Rally 2026. The recruitment rally for male candidates will be held from 01 to 02 September 2026. While, the recruitment rally for female candidates will be held from 04 to 05 September 2026.
Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits – Agniveer Vayu will be paid an package of Rs 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will also be provided as per the existing rules.

Eligibility Criteria (Age and Qualification)
Age Limit – Candidates should be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit as on date of enrolment should be 22 years.
Educational Qualification – Candidate must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination in any stream/ subject from a recognized Central/ State/ UT Education Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
Passed 02 years Vocational Course from Central/ State/ UT recognised Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in 12th/10th if English is not a subject in Vocational Course). OR
Passed 03 years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Central/ State/ UT recognised Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in 12th/10th, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

Physical and Medical Standards
Height – Minimum 152 Cms for male candidates. For female candidates, the minimum acceptable height is 152 Cms (for candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 Cms will be accepted; In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 Cms).
Chest – For male candidates, the chest should be well proportioned and developed with minimum chest circumference being 77 Cms and minimum expansion being 05 Cms. For female candidates, the chest wall should be well proportioned with the minimum range of expansion of 05 Cms.
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
Visual Acuity – 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.
Colour Vision – CP-II
Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately and should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points. Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He/she should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate must be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Selection and Recruitment Procedure
The selection process consists of Verification of eligibility, Physical fitness test (PFT), Written test, Adaptability test 1, Adaptability test 2 and Medical examination.
Physical Fitness Test – It consists of two parts, PFT-I and PFT-II as follows:
PFT I – The test consists of 1.6 Km run within 07 minutes for male candidates and 1.6 Km run within 08 minutes for female candidates.
PFT II – The test consists of 10 Push-ups (in 01 minute), 10 Sit-ups (in 01 minute) and 20 Squats (in 01 minute) for male candidates. While, for female candidates PFT-II consists of 10 Sit-ups (in 01 minute) and 15 Squats (in 01 minute).
Written Test – The written test will be objective type and the questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except the English paper. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for each wrong answer or choosing more than one option as answer.
The written test will be of 45 minutes duration and will consist of a total of 50 questions (01 mark each) carrying a maximum of 50 marks. The questions will be based on English (20 Questions/20 Marks) and Reasoning & General Awareness (30 Questions/30 Marks).

Thereafter, candidates declared qualified in PFT and Written Test will have to appear for Adaptability Test-I and Adaptability Test-II followed by Medical Examination.
For Selection, Provisional Select List (PSL) will be prepared and the inclusion of candidates in the PSL will depend upon their performance in the recruitment rally. The PSL for Intake 01/2027 will be displayed at 11 ASC (Guwahati) on 14 November 2026. The final Enrolment List for Intake 01/2027 will be published on 01 December 2026.
The PSL/Enrolment List will also be available on Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) website iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in.
Rally Schedule, Documents and Notification
Eligible candidates are required to report (without registration) for the IAF North East States Recruitment Rally at Nagaland Armed Police Training Centre (NAPTC), Chumoukedima District, Nagaland Pin-797103 with writing materials and required documents.
The Open Recruitment Rally for the Indian Air Force Agniveervayu (Other Than Science Subjects) trade will be conducted as per the schedule below.

Writing Materials and Documents Required
1. HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and black & blue ball point pen for writing.
2. Ten un-attested recent (not taken before 01 months) passport size colour photographs (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his/her chest with his/her name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
3. Original or DigiLocker verified printout and 04 self-attested photo copies of matriculation passing certificate (required for Date of Birth verification).
4. Original or DigiLocker verified printout and 04 self-attested photocopies of 10+2/ Intermediate/ XII or equivalent/ Diploma/ Vocational course passing certificate and marks sheet.
5. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Domicile Certificate OR Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Certificate for Children of Air Force Personnel (COAFP) OR Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Certificate for Children of serving/ retired/ deceased Air Force Civilian Employees.
6. NOC in original and 04 self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organisation (if applicable).
7. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Discharge certificate (for candidates discharged from Indian Army/ Indian Navy/ Any other Government Organisation).
8. Body tattoo photographs.
9. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of NCC A/ B/ C Certificate (if applicable).
10. Consent Form for Physical Fitness Test and Medical tests.
11. Certificates/ documents in support of Additional Skills/ Qualifications/ Achievements (if held).
