Ex-servicemen below 46 years and have been registered themselves for DSC Bharti, may participate in this recruitment. Defence Security Corps DSC Bharti for Ex Servicemen
DSC Registration – Ex-Servicemen can register themselves at any of the Army Recruiting Offices (ARO) / Regimental Centres for Defence Service Corps recruitment. Registering your name indicates your willingness / availability for enrolment into Defence Service Corps or Defence Security Corps as and when vacancies are available.
DSC Bharti at KRC Ranikhet will be organized as follows:
Checking of documents – 08th Dec 2023 (08 AM)
Bharti date (Screening and Physical test) – 09th Dec 2023 (05.30 AM)

Defence Service Corps or Defence Security Corps is the full form of DSC and it is the sixth largest Corps of the Army. “Raksha Tatha Suraksha” is the Motto of the DSC. It provides Armed Security Staff, Static Guards, Searchers, Escorts and Mobile Patrols by day and night. To be eligible for Re-enrolment into Defence Service Corps you must fulfill the criteria as given below. Serving personnel interested in Defence Security Corps can fill the DSC form 06 Months prior to the retirement.
Eligibility Criteria for DSC Bharti
Character – Character should be Very Good or Exemplary.
Discipline – Should not have more than one red ink entry in the last five years of service and not more than two red ink entries during the entire service.
Medical Category – Medical Category for Defence Service Corps should be SHAPE-1.
Gap – For Soldier GD, gap from the date of discharge from former service should be within two years (retired between 31 Dec 21 to 30 Nov 23). For Soldier Clerk (SD), gap from the date of discharge from former service should be within five years (retired between 31 Dec 18 to 30 Nov 23).
Age Limit – Up to 46 years for Soldier GD and up to 48 years for Soldier Clerk (as on the date of screening).
Defence Security Corps Selection Process
The Selection process will consist of Physical Test and Medical Test as follows:
Physical Test – Physical Proficiency Tests (PPT)
Medical Test – Haemogram, Biochemistry (Urea, Creatinine, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol and Lipid Profile Test), Chest X Ray, ECG etc medical tests will be carried out from the nearest Military Hospital (MH)
Documents Required for DSC Bharti
Eligible Ex-Servicemen may appear in the Recruitment Rally at KRC Ranikhet (Uttarakhand) with following required documents.
1. Discharge Book.
2. Nativity/ Domicile Certificate.
3. Caste Certificate.
4. Extended AGI Policy Certificate.
5. Character Certificate issued by Zila Police Adhikshak.
6. Educational Certificates.
7. 16 Passport size Colour Photographs.
8. ATC Certificate (for Ex TA Personnel).
9. Other relevant documents (if held).
