UKPSC JE Recruitment and Exam Syllabus (1097 Posts)

UKPSC invited online applications for filling up the following 1097 Vacancies of Junior Engineer (कनिष्ठ अभियन्ता) in various departments through Uttarakhand Combined State JE Service Exam. All eligible candidates can apply online for the Govt Engineer Vacancies through the official website up to 03rd Nov 2023. UKPSC JE Recruitment and Exam Syllabus 2023-2024 like online application form, vacancy details, eligibility criteria, selection process, notification etc is given below.

Uttarakhand Junior Engineer Recruitment 2023-2024

Post Name and Nature – कनिष्ठ अभियन्ता (समूह ‘ग’, स्थायी/ अस्थायी, अराजपत्रित एवं अंशदायी/ ई.पी.एफ/ ई.पी.एस पेंशनयुक्त)।
Pay Scale – Rs 44900-142400 Pay Level-7 (Pay Level-8 for PTCUL and UJVNL).
Number of Vacancies – 1097 Posts

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2023):
JE (Rural Works, Panchayati Raj, PTCUL and UJVNL) – 18 to 42 years i.e. candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1981 and not later than 01.07.2005.
JE (All Other Departments) – 21 to 42 years i.e. candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1981 and not later than 01.07.2002.

The age of the candidates who had earlier applied for the JE Service Exam-2021 will be calculated as on 1st Jul 2021. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification – Diploma in relevant Engineering Branch (Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Agricultural Engineering) from any recognized University/ Institution/ Polytechnic.

To apply for the direct recruitment of Group C (Samuh G) Posts, the candidate must have passed his/her 10th or 12th or its equivalent level of exam from recognized institutions located in the state of Uttarakhand. The candidate must be registered in any employment office located in the state of Uttarakhand till the last date of receipt of application form.

UKPSC JE Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The selection process consists of written exam of maximum 920 Marks comprises of General Aptitude Test (200 Marks) and Engineering Subject (720 Marks), as per the pattern below:

General Aptitude Test:
The test consists of General Hindi (100 Marks) and General English (100 Marks) of maximum 200 Marks. The exam of each subject (General Hindi and General English) will be of 02 Hours duration and will comprise of objective type questions (01 mark each). One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer given by the candidates.

  • General Hindi: 100 Questions (100 Marks)
  • General English: 100 Questions (100 Marks)

Engineering Subject:
The engineering subject exam (paper 1st and 2nd) will be of maximum 720 Marks. The exam for each engineering subject (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Agricultural) paper 1st/2nd will be of 03 Hours duration and will comprise of objective type questions (02 marks each). One-fourth of the marks assigned to the question will be deducted as negative marking for each wrong answer given by the candidates.

  • Civil Engineering (1st/2nd Paper): 180 Questions (360 Marks)
  • Mechanical Engineering (1st/2nd Paper): 180 Questions (360 Marks)
  • Electrical Engineering (1st/2nd Paper): 180 Questions (360 Marks)
  • Agricultural Engineering (1st/2nd Paper): 180 Questions (360 Marks)

UKPSC JE Syllabus: The detailed and latest syllabus for the Uttarakhand Combined State Junior Engineer Service Exam 2023-2024 is given below.

Exam Centres – Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Haldwani, Khatima, Rudrapur, Pithoragarh, Dehradun, Gopeshwar, Haridwar, New Tehri, Rudraprayag, Srinagar and Uttarkashi.

Final selection will be made on the basis of total marks obtained in written exam subject to candidate’s preference and depending on department, post and category wise number of vacancies.

Online Application Form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates can submit online application form for the UKPSC Uttarakhand JE Recruitment (Combined State Junior Engineer Service Exam) through the website ukpsc.gov.in or ukpsc.net.in up to 03rd Nov 2023. Before applying online, keep ready your mobile number, email id and scanned images of recent colour passport size photograph (20 to 50 KB) and signature (10 to 50 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.

Candidates who had applied for the Combined State Junior Engineer Service Examination-2021 will have to fill their application number of that exam (find Application number of JE Service Exam-2021).

Important Steps to submit JE Application form:

  • Step 1: Registration and personal details.
  • Step 2: Filling educational and other details.
  • Step 3: Uploading photograph and signature.
  • Step 4: Final review and submission of application.
  • Step 5: Taking printout of application form.

After successful submission of application, keep your E-mail ID and Password secure and take a print out of the computer generated form for reference.

Application fees:
GEN/ EWS/ OBC Category – Rs 150/- plus processing fees.
SC/ ST Category – Rs 60/- plus processing fees.
DIVYANG Category – Processing fees.
ORPHAN Category – Nil
