APS Almora PGT, TGT, PRT and Other Vacancies
APS Almora has released notification for the recruitment of following Teaching staff vacancies of TGT (Social Studies, Hindi and Sanskrit) and Primary Teacher (PRT) on fixed-term contract basis.
TGT (Social Studies, Hindi and Sanskrit):
Qualification: Bachelor Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subjects/ combination of subjects and in aggregate in one of the below. Candidate should have B.Ed or equivalent degree from recognized university and Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English. Knowledge of Computer Application is desirable.
TGT (Social Studies) – Any two of the subjects: History, Geography, Economics and Political Science of which one must be either History or Geography.
TGT (Sanskrit) – Sanskrit as a subject in all three years of Graduation.
TGT (Hindi) – Hindi as a subject in all three years of Graduation.

Primary Teacher (PRT):
Qualification: Graduate holding Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/ combination of subjects and in aggregate with two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)/ B.El.Ed.
Educational qualification for the other posts which are not advertised currently by APS Almora is given below:
PGT (Hindi, English, Economics and Biology):
Qualification: Minimum Post Graduation in concerned subject and B.Ed with minimum 50% marks in each.
PGT (Physical Education):
Qualification: Masters’ degree in Physical Education from a recognized University or equivalent degree. Experienced candidates will be given preference.

TGT (Computer Science):
Qualification: B.Tech in Computer Science/ B.Sc in Computer Science/ B.Sc with one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer from any recognized University or Institution.
Counselor and Wellness Teacher:
Qualification: Graduate/ Post Graduate in psychology or Post Graduate in Child Development or Graduate/ Post Graduate with Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling.
Special Educator:
Qualification: Graduate with B.Ed (Special Education)/ B.Ed (General) with one year diploma in Special Education/ PG diploma in special education.
Supervisor Administration:
Qualification: Graduate with working knowledge of Computers and experience in store keeping and maintenance/ management of various faculty. OR Ex-servicemen of the rank of Subedar/ Subedar Major/ Hony Lt/ Hony Capt will be given preference.
Computer Laboratory Technician:
Qualification: Minimum 10+2 with 01 year Diploma in Computer Science and knowledge of Hardware, Peripheral and Networking.
Music Teacher:
Qualification: Graduate in Music from a recognized University or Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary with anyone of the following:
1. Sangeet Visharad Examination of the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay
2. Sangeet Visharad Examination of the Indira Kala Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Khairgarh (MP)
3. Sangeet Prabhakar Examination of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti (Academy of Music) Allahabad
4. Sangeet Visharad Examination of the Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Lucknow
Note – For teachers being appointed on Adhoc basis, possession of a AWES Online Screening Test (OST) Score Card will not be a mandatory requirement but a preferred requirement. CTET/TET is a mandatory requirement for TGTs and PRTs.
Age limit (as on 01st Jan 2025) – Up to 40 years for fresh candidates (no experience) and Up to 57 years for experienced candidates (Minimum 5 years’ experience in the appropriate category in the last 10 years).
Pay and Allowances – As per Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) Rules and Regulations.
