Sainik School Ghorakhal Regular/ Contractual Vacancies
Teaching staff vacancies of PGT (Mathematics), TGT (Hindi, Mathematics, English & Science) and Non-Teaching vacancies of Nursing Assistant, PTI/ PEM-cum Matron (Female), Band Master and Medical Officer released by SS Ghorakhal, Nainital, Uttarakhand are as follows:
1. PGT (Mathematics) – 01 Post/ Regular basis (OBC)

For the contractual posts, the tenure will be 03 years and the total contract period from the date of appointment will not exceed 3 years in any case. However, after completion of 11 months from the date of joining of the employee, the school principal can extend the contract for another one year based on performance, review and requirement.

Pay and Perks
PGT – Pay Level 08, Cell 1 Rs. 47,600/- plus other allowances as applicable with rent free accommodation in school campus and free meals with the cadets.
TGT – Pay Level 07, Cell 1 Rs. 44,900/- plus other allowances as applicable with rent free accommodation in school campus and free meals with the cadets.
Nursing Assistant – Pay Level 04, Cell 1 Rs. 25,500/- plus other allowances as applicable with rent free accommodation in school campus.
PTI/ PEM-cum Matron (Female) – Consolidated salary Rs. 25,000/- per month (except vacation period) with rent free accommodation in school campus and free meals with the cadets.
Band Master – Consolidated salary Rs. 36,500/- per month (except vacation period) with rent free accommodation in school campus and free meals with the cadets.
Medical Officer – Consolidated salary Rs. 70,125/- per month (except vacation period) with rent free accommodation and meals with cadets in the school campus.
For regular vacancies, employees are entitled to benefits like DA, Transport Allowance, Medical Allowance, NPS, Subsidized Education of two children, Death-cum-Retirement Gratuity, Leave Encashment etc as per the existing rules of Sainik School Society, Ministry of Defence, Govt of India and as amended from time to time.

Age, Educational and Desirable Qualifications
Age Limit:
PGT – 21 to 40 Years.
TGTs – 21 to 35 Years.
Nursing Assistant – 21 to 50 Years.
PTI/PEM-cum Matron (Female) – 18 to 50 Years.
Medical Officer – Maximum 50 Years.
Educational and Desirable Qualifications:
PGT (Maths) – Two years Integrated Post Graduate MSc Course in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics with at least 50% marks in aggregate; OR Master’s Degree from a recognized university with 50% marks in Mathematics. BEd degree from recognized University with Proficiency in teaching in English medium.
Teaching experience in Public School, Higher qualifications, CTET qualified, Proficiency in Games/ Sports and other extra co-curricular activities, Knowledge of Computer Application are all desirable qualifications for the PGT post.
TGTs – Four years integrated degree course in the concerned subject (Hindi/ Mathematics/ English/ Science) with at least 50% marks in aggregate; Or Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in in the concerned subject (should be in all three years) and in aggregate. BEd from a recognised University and CTET II passed. Proficiency in teaching in English & Hindi Medium.
Teaching experience in Public School, Higher qualifications, Proficiency in Games/ Sports and other extra со-curricular activities and Knowledge of Computer Application are all desirable qualifications for the TGT posts.
Nursing Assistant – Nursing Diploma/Degree with minimum 5 years experience or ex-serviceman of Medical Assistant trade with at least 5 years service after Training. Communication in English, knowledge of Burn and Basic Dressing, Snake Bite Treatment, Fracture Treatment, CPR and Working knowledge of computers are all desirable qualifications.
PTI/PEM-cum Matron (Female) – Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (BPEd) or equivalent qualification. Achievement in Sports is a desirable qualification.
Band Master – Potential Band Master/ Band Major/ Drum Major course at the AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi or equivalent Naval/ Air Force Courses. Candidate having higher qualifications, teaching experience in English medium Public school, proficiency in English, Achievements in co and extra-curricular activities will be given preference. The candidate should be physically fit.
Medical Officer – Candidates should hold MBBS degree. Specialisation in Pediatrician Course. Minimum two years of experience as Medical Doctor. To treat the children (boys/girls) for the age group 10 to 18 years. He will must reside in the school campus and attend to the medial emergency at all hours of the day and night.
