Indian Air Force (IAF) is going to organize Agniveer Vayu Recruitment rally for all districts of the States/ UTs of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. The rally for IAF Agniveer Vayu (other than science subjects) is being held at Government Arts & Sports College, Near NHS Hospital, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar (Punjab) from 27 August to 03 September 2025. IAF Rally for PB, Chandigarh, J&K, Ladakh and HP 2025-2026
Unmarried male and female candidates from all districts of the States/ UTs of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh are eligible to participate in this Recruitment Rally. The IAF rally for male candidates of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh will be held from 27 to 28 August 2025 and for Punjab & Chandigarh from 30 to 31 August 2025.
While, the recruitment rally for female candidates of all districts of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh will be held from 02 to 03 September 2025.
The detailed selection schedule of the IAF rally to be held at Government Arts & Sports College, Near NHS Hospital, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar, Punjab- 144002 for all districts of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh is given below.
Male Candidates (of Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh):
27 August to 28 August 2025 – Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Test, Adaptability Test-I, Adaptability Test-II and Medical Appointments.
Reporting date and time – 27 August 2025 (06 AM).
Male Candidates (of Punjab and Chandigarh):
30 August to 31 August 2025 – Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Test, Adaptability Test-I, Adaptability Test-II and Medical Appointments.
Reporting date and time – 30 August 2025 (06 AM).
Female Candidates (of Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh):
02 September to 03 September 2025 – Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Test, Adaptability Test-I, Adaptability Test-II and Medical Appointments.
Reporting date and time – 02 September 2025 (06 AM).

Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits – Agniveer Vayu will be paid an package of Rs 30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) will also be provided as per the existing rules.
Age Limit – Candidates should be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both days inclusive). If a candidate clears all the stages of the selection process then the upper age limit should be 21 years as on the date of enrolment.
Educational Qualification (Other than Science Subjects):
Candidate must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination in any stream/subject from a recognized Central/ State/ UT Education Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
Passed two years Vocational Course from Central/ State/ UT recognized Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course). OR
Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

Selection Process, Physical and Exam Syllabus
Selection for Agniveer Vayu (other than Science subjects) through IAF Recruitment Rally comprises of Verification of Eligibility, Physical Fitness Test, Written Examination, Adaptability Test I & II and Medical Examination, as given in detail below.
Verification of Eligibility
Eligible candidates are required to report for the rally at Jalandhar (Punjab) venue on the scheduled date and time along with required documents. You must have the required documents mentioned below, which will be checked/ verified before the commencement of PFT to ascertain your eligibility. Without original educational mark sheet/ certificate and documents, you will not be allowed to appear in the selection process.
1. Original Educational Certificates (10th Pass Certificate, 12th Pass Certificate & Mark sheet or Diploma/ Vocational Course Passing Certificate & Mark sheets).
2. NCC A, B or C Certificate.
3. Children of serving Air Force Personnel (COAFP) certificate or Discharge Book, Service Book, Service Particular Certificate/ Casualty Service Certificate or Discharge Certificate (if discharged from Army/ Navy/ Government Organization).
4. Consent form.
5. Passport size color photographs.
6. Musical experience certificate.
7. Domicile proof.
You must carry your Aadhar Card or other valid photo ID as proof of identity while reporting for the selection test and medical test.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
After verification of eligibility you will be put through PFT. The Physical Fitness Test consists of two parts, PFT-I and PFT-II as follows:
PFT I – The test consists of 1.6 Km run within 07 minutes for male candidates and 1.6 Km run within 08 minutes for female candidates.
PFT II – Candidates qualified in PFT-I will have to undergo PFT-II after a break of 10 minutes. PFT-II consists of 10 Push-ups (in 01 minute), 10 Sit-ups (in 01 minute) and 20 Squats (in 01 minute) for male candidates. While, for female candidates PFT-II consists of 10 Sit-ups (in 01 minute) and 15 Squats (in 01 minute). Candidates are advised to carry their sports shoes and shorts/ track pants for Physical Fitness Test.

Written Test
Candidates declared qualified in PFT will be put through written test on the same day. The written test will be objective type and the questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except the English paper. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for each wrong answer or choosing more than one option as answer.
The test will be of 45 minutes duration and will consist of a total of 50 questions (01 mark each) carrying a maximum of 50 marks. The questions will be based on English (as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) as per the test pattern given below:
- English: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
- Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA): 30 Questions (30 Marks)
Candidates have to pass in each paper separately. The Written Test Result will be declared on the same day.

Adaptability Test-I
All candidates who pass the written test are required to appear for Adaptability Test-I (objective type written test) aimed at assessing the suitability of the candidate for employment in the Indian Air Force, which involves deployment in different geographical areas, weather and operational conditions.
Adaptability Test-II
All the candidates who qualify in Adaptability Test-I will have to appear for Adaptability Test-II as per the prevailing policy. The aim of Adaptability Test-II is to select candidates who can adapt to the Indian Air Force environment and are able to adjust to the military lifestyle.
Medical Examination
Candidates declared qualified in Adaptability Test-II will be medically examined in the month of September 2025 at 1 ASC- 9 AFH Halwara Medical Boarding Centre. The medical examination will be conducted by the Medical Team as per Indian Air Force Medical Standards as mentioned in the IAF publications and prevalent policy on the subject.
Physical and Medical Standards:
Height – Minimum 152 Cms for male candidates. For female candidates, the minimum acceptable height is 152 cms (female candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cms will be accepted. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cms.).
Chest – For male candidates, the chest should be well proportioned and developed with minimum chest circumference being 77 Cms and minimum expansion being 05 Cms. For female candidates, the chest wall should be well proportioned with the minimum range of expansion of 05 cms.
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.
Dental – Should have healthy gums and good set of teeth with minimum 14 dental points.
Hearing – Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 06 meters with each ear separately.
Visual Acuity – 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.
Colour Vision – CP-II
Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages and should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain. Candidates with a history of LASIK/PRK will not be accepted.
The medical examination will also include the basic tests: Blood Haemogram (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets); Urine RE/ME; Biochemistry (Blood Sugar Fasting/ PP, Serum Cholesterol, RFT- Serum Urea, Uric acid & Creatinine, LFT- Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT); Radiograph chest (PA view); Ultrasonography of lower abdomen & Pelvis (only for female candidates); ECG (R) and any other investigation deemed necessary by the Medical Officer.
Body Tattoo – Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, however tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of the palm and Tribals with tattoos which are as per custom Traditions of their tribes may be considered. Candidates with permanent body tattoos are to submit two photographs (close up and distinct view) with details of size and type of the tattoo.
PSL and Enrolment List
For selection as Agniveer Vayu, Provisional Select List (PSL) will be prepared and the inclusion of candidates in the PSL will depend upon their performance in the selection test. Final enrolment will be strictly in order of merit from the PSL subject to medical fitness, availability of vacancies and meeting other eligibility criteria.
The Provisional Select List (PSL) for AgniveerVayu Intake 01/2026 will be published at 1 ASC (Ambala) on 14th November 2025. The final Enrolment List for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026 will be published on 01st December 2025. The PSL/ Enrolment List will also be available on Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB) website agnipathvayu.cdac.in.

How to Appear, Required Documents and Notification
Candidates fulfilling the domicile and eligibility conditions are required to report at Government Arts & Sports College, Near NHS Hospital, Kapurthala Road, Jalandhar, Punjab- 144002 on 27th August, 30th August and 02nd September 2025 at 06 AM as per the selection schedule given above.
You can report directly at the rally venue, there is no need for online registration. You are required to carry the following writing materials and required documents to the rally venue.
Writing Materials and Documents Required:
1. HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and black & blue ball point pen for writing.
2. Ten un-attested recent (not taken before 06 months) passport size colour photographs (front portrait in light background without head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his/ her chest with his/ her name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
3. Original and 04 self-attested photo copies of matriculation passing certificate (required for Date of Birth verification).
4. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of 10+2/ Intermediate/ XII or equivalent/ Diploma/ Vocational course passing certificate and marks sheet.
5. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Domicile Certificate OR Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Certificate for Children of Air Force Personnel (COAFP)/ retired/ deceased OR Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Certificate for Children of serving/ retired/ deceased Air Force Civilian Employees.
6. NOC in original and 04 self-attested photocopies from the employer for candidates presently serving in any government organization (if applicable).
7. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of Discharge certificate (for candidates discharged from Indian Army/ Indian Navy/ Any other Government Organization).
8. Body tattoo photographs.
9. Original and 04 self-attested photocopies of NCC A/ B/ C Certificate (if applicable).
10. Consent Form for Physical Fitness Test and Medical tests.
11. Certificates/ documents in support of Additional Skills/ Qualifications/ Achievements (if any).
