ITBP Head Constable ESC Recruitment 2024-2025

Post Name – Head Constable (Education and Stress Counsellor).
Pay Scale and Allowances – Rs 25500-81100 (as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-4). Allowances include DA, Ration Money, Special Compensatory Allowance (while posted in specified border areas), HRA, TA, Leave Travel Concession, free medical facilities and any other allowance as admissible in the Force.

Total Number of Vacancies – 112 Posts
HC ESC (Male) – 96 (UR-37, EWS-13, OBC-24, SC-15, ST-07)
HC ESC (Female) – 16 (UR-06, EWS-02, OBC-04, SC-03, ST-01)

Age Limit – 20 to 25 years (as on 05 Aug 2024) i.e. candidate should be born between 06 Aug 1999 and 05 Aug 2024 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories is applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree/ equivalent qualification with Psychology as a subject OR Degree with Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent from a recognized University.

Selection Process, Physical PET PST and Exam Syllabus

The recruitment process consists of Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Written exam (100 Marks), Merit list, Documentation and Medical examination. For selection, category wise merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written examination. The detailed selection process (step by step) is as follows:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Run / Race:
Male candidates – 1.6 Kms within 07 Minutes 30 Seconds.
Female candidates – 800 Meters within 04 Minutes 45 Seconds.

Long Jump:
Male candidates – 11 Feet (03 chances).
Female candidates – 09 Feet (03 chances).

High Jump:
Male candidates – 3½ Feet (03 chances).
Female candidates – 3 Feet (03 chances).

Physical Standards Test (PST)

Height:
GEN/SC/OBC Category: Male-170 Cms and Female-157 Cms.
Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT J&K and UT Ladakh: Male-165 Cms and Female-155 Cms.
ST Category: Male-162.5 Cms and Female-154 Cms.

Chest (Only for Male candidates):
GEN/SC/OBC Category: 80-85 Cms.
Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT J&K and Ladakh: 80-85 Cms.
ST Category: 77-82 Cms.

Weight (Male and Female): Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Written Examination

ITBP ESC Head Constable written exam will be of 02 Hours duration and will consist of total 100 OMR based/ Computer based objective type questions (01 mark each). Cut off marks for qualifying in written exam will be 35% for UR/EWS and 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The question paper will comprise of questions based on:

General English: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
General Hindi: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
General Awareness: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
Quantitative Aptitude and Simple Reasoning: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
Psychology: 60 Questions (60 Marks)

Syllabus of Psychology:

General Psychology, Intelligence and Creativity, Problem solving: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
Personality, Attitude, Stereotypes, Prejudice and Discrimination, Group Dynamics: 10 Questions (10 Marks)
Psychopathology: 15 Questions (15 Marks)
Counseling Psychology: 15 Questions (15 Marks)
Managing Human Resources: 10 Questions (10 Marks)

Documentation

After completion of written exam, category-wise merit list will be prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written exam. Shortlisted candidates will have to produce the following documents/ certificates (original with photocopies) for verification at the time of documentation:

1. Educational Certificates.
2. Date of Birth Certificate (10th Pass certificate).
3. SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL) Certificate in prescribed format (as applicable).
4. EWS Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
5. No Objection Certificate (for candidates serving in Govt services).
6. Height/ Chest relaxation certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
7. Domicile Certificate or PAN or Aadhar Card or Driving License or Voter Card for verification of citizenship.
8. Discharge Certificate (for Ex-Servicemen).
9. Four (04) latest passport size photographs.

Finally, candidates qualified in documentation will have to go undergo Detailed Medical Examination (DME) to assess their fitness by Medical Officers as per the Standards. Candidates declared unfit will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME).

Finally, you can take a printout of the submitted form for further requirements at the time of PET/PST.

Application fee – UR/EWS/OBC candidates are required to pay Rs 100/- as application fee by using Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card. SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
