Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force invited online applications for filling up the following 108 Vacancies of Constable (Pioneer) Group C by direct recruitment. All eligible male candidates can apply online for the ITBP Pioneer Vacancies of Constable Carpenter, Mason and Plumber through the website recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in up to 01st October 2022 (Extended). ITBP Constable Pioneer Recruitment 2022-2023
Pay Scale – Rs 21700-69100 (as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-3).
Total Number of Vacancies – 108 Posts
Constable (Carpenter) – 56 (UR-29, SC-07, ST-08, OBC-06, EWS-06)
Constable (Mason) – 31 (UR-17, SC-04, ST-04, OBC-03, EWS-03)
Constable (Plumber) – 21 (UR-12, SC-02, ST-03, OBC-02, EWS-02)
Age Limit – 18 to 23 years as on 17th Sep 2022 i.e. candidate should be born between 18-09-1999 and 17-09-2004 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Central Govt rules.
Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized board and 01 year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade of a Carpenter or Mason or Plumber.
Constable Pioneer Selection Process, PET/ PST and Exam Pattern
ITBP Constable (Pioneer) selection process will consist of Biometric Identification, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Written Exam, Trade Test, Verification of Original Documents and Medical Examination. Physical Test (PET/ PST) Admit Card will be issued online through official website to all eligible candidates to appear in the recruitment tests. Exam date, time and place of recruitment test will be indicated in Admit card.
Before start of PET and PST, candidates will have to undergo Verification of Identity including Biometric capture. Thereafter candidates will be put through the recruitment tests step by step as follows:
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for the test. PET will not be held for Ex-Servicemen. The events of PET are as follows:
Race – 1.6 Kms within 07 Minutes 30 Seconds.
Long Jump – 11 Feet (in 03 chances).
High Jump – 3½ Feet (in 03 chances).
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates qualified in PET will be put through Height, Chest and Weight measurements as per the standards below:
Gen/ SC/ OBC Category – Height: 170 Cms and Chest: 80-85 Cms.
Garhwali, Kumaoni, Gorkha, Dogra, Maratha and candidates from Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, UT Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh – Height: 165 Cms and Chest: 78-83 Cms.
ST Category – Height: 162.5 Cms and Chest: 76-81 Cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Written Examination (OMR/ CBT)
Candidates qualified in PST will have to undergo written examination i.e. OMR based or Computer Based Test (CBT) of maximum 100 Marks. The written exam will be of total 02 Hours duration. The question paper will consist of objective type multiple choice questions on General English, General Hindi, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Simple Reasoning as per the pattern below.
General English: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
General Hindi: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
General Awareness: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
Quantitative Aptitude Test: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
Simple Reasoning: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
The minimum cut-off percentage of marks for qualifying in written exam will be 35% for GEN/ EWS candidates and 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Candidates qualified in written exam will be called for Trade test of 50 Marks on the basis of merit (10 times of category wise vacancies). Trade test will be qualifying in nature (50% marks required to qualify). Trade tests criteria with marks for Carpenter, Mason and Plumber are as follows:
Carpenter – Technique of planting (10 Marks), Technique of sawing (10 Marks), Technique of Wooden jointing (10 Marks), Technique of plywood work (05 Marks), Technique of Sunmica adhesive (05 Marks), Technique of glass cutting & fixing (05 Marks), Knowledge about tools & raw material (05 Marks).
Mason – Technique of brick masonry (05 Marks), Technique of plastering (10 Marks), Making block with (1:2:4) cement concrete (10 Marks), Knowledge of tile work in flooring (10 Marks), Technique of floor leveling & sloping (05 Marks), Technique of bar binding in RCC work (05 Marks), Knowledge of tools & raw material (05 Marks).
Plumber – Threading of GI Pipe (10 Marks), Tightening of elbow, bend, nipple, bib-cock (10 Marks), Fitting of PVC Tank (10 Marks), Fitting of CI/PVC, waste water, sewer pipe (05 Marks), Fixing of ferrule in GI pipe (05 Marks), Fixing of low level cistern (05 Marks), Knowledge about tools & raw material (05 Marks).
After completion of trade test, post and category wise merit list will be prepared separately on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written exam.
Candidates shortlisted in order of merit in each category will be put through verification of original documents. The following documents/ certificates (original with photocopies) will be verified at the time of documentation:
1. Educational Certificates with 01 year trade certificate.
2. Date of Birth Certificate (10th mark sheet/ certificate).
3. SC/ ST/ OBC (NCL) Certificate in prescribed format (as applicable).
4. EWS Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
5. Domicile Certificate or PAN or Aadhar Card or Driving License or Voter Card for verification of citizenship.
6. Discharge Certificate (for Ex-Serviceman).
7. Height/ Chest relaxation certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
8. No Objection Certificate (for serving candidates).
9. Four latest passport size photographs.
Medical Examination (DME/ RME)
Finally, candidates qualified in all the above tests will have to go through Detailed Medical Examination (DME) to assess their fitness as per the Medical Standards. Candidates declared unfit will be allowed to undergo Review Medical Examination (RME).

Eligible and interested candidates are required to register and submit online form for the ITBP Constable Pioneer Defence Recruitment through the website recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in up to 01st Oct 2022 (Extended) (11.59 PM).
Before applying online keep ready your E-mail ID, Mobile number and scanned image of latest photograph (30 kb – 100 kb) and signature (15 kb – 30 kb) in JPEG/ JPG format. For submitting ITBP Constable (Pioneer) Application form, go to Apply link under the live applications on your dashboard and re-check the pre-filled application form details or change the details as required and then pay the application fee. Finally, you have to take a printout of the submitted form (required at the time of recruitment tests).
The candidates belonging to GEN/ OBC/ EWS Category are required to pay Rs 100/- as application fee. The application fee can be paid online by using Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card. SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of fee.
