IB ACIO Recruitment Intelligence Officer 995 Posts 2023-2024

Intelligence Bureau (IB) invited online applications for filling up the following 995 Vacancies of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (Grade II/ Executive) Group C by direct recruitment. All eligible male and female Indian citizens can apply online for the IB ACIO Bharti Vacancies through the website www.mha.gov.in up to 15th Dec 2023. Intelligence Bureau ACIO Recruitment Exam

Post Name and Classification – ACIO-II/Exe (General Central Service, Group C, Non-Gazetted and Non-Ministerial).
Pay Scale – Rs 44900-142400 in the pay matrix level-7 plus admissible Central Govt allowances (Old scale Rs 9300-34800 PB-2 with GP Rs 4200).
Age Limit – 18 to 27 years as on 15.12.2023 (relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and other categories is applicable as per Govt rules).

Educational Qualification – Graduation or equivalent qualification from a recognized University. Knowledge of computers is desired qualification.

IB ACIO Selection Process and Exam Pattern

Intelligence Bureau ACIO selection process consists of Tier-1 (Objective type exam), Tier-2 (Descriptive type exam), Tier-3 (Interview), Character & Antecedent verification and Medical examination as per the exam pattern given below.

Tier-1 Exam – The exam paper will be of 01 Hour duration and will consist of 100 Objective type multiple choice questions (01 Mark each) of maximum 100 Marks as given below. There will be negative marking of ¼ Mark for each wrong answer given by candidates.

  • Current Affairs: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • General Studies: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Numerical Aptitude: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • Reasoning/ Logical Aptitude: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
  • English: 20 Questions (20 Marks)

Cut-off marks (out of 100) in Tier-1 Exam: UR-35, OBC-34, SC/ST-33 and EWS-35 (all Ex-servicemen will be treated in their own category).

Tier-2 Exam – Candidates qualified in Tier-1 exam will be called for Tier-2 exam (10 times the number of vacancies) of maximum 50 Marks. The Tier-2 Exam paper will be of 01 Hour duration and will consist of Descriptive type questions as follows:

  • Essay on one of the given topics: 30 Marks
  • English comprehension and Précis writing: 20 Marks

Tier-3 (Interview) – On the basis of combined performance in Tier 1 and Tier 2, candidates will be shortlisted for the Tier 3 (Interview) at 5 times the number of vacancies subject to the condition that the candidate secures minimum 33% Marks (17 out of 50) in Tier 2 exam. The interview will be of 100 Marks.

For final selection, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of combined performance in Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 (Interview) subject to their Character and Antecedent verification followed by medical examination etc.

Tier-2 & Tier-3 (Interview) may not be conducted at all centres mentioned above. The department reserves the right to conduct Tier-2 & Tier-3 (Interview) at a centre by clubbing the candidates of nearby centres.

Application Form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for the Khufia Vibhag IB ACIO Recruitment Officer Vacancies through the website www.mha.gov.in up to 15th Dec 2023. Before applying online, keep ready your valid e-mail ID, mobile number, scanned image of Photograph (50-100Kb) & Signature (50-100Kb) in jpg/ jpeg format, valid photo ID proof and Certificate(s)/ Marksheet(s) pertaining to 10th, 12th & UG/PG.

After successful submission of the online application, take printout of the form for future references. Any documents or hard copy of online application form are not required to send by Post. All the information about IB ACIO-II/Exe Recruitment like Exam date, Time, Centre, Admit Card (Call letter) etc will be intimated through official website and registered Email ID.

Examination Fee:
UR, EWS and OBC male candidates are required to pay Rs 100 as examination fee plus Rs 500 as Recruitment Processing Charges. SC, ST, Ex-servicemen and Female candidates are required to pay Rs 500 as Recruitment Processing Charges only. The fee can be paid online by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, UPI, SBI challan etc.
