Indian Navy invited online applications for enrolment as Agniveer MR (Musician) for 02/2023 Batch commencing in November 2023. All eligible 10th pass unmarried male and female candidates having Musical Ability can apply online for the Navy MR Musician Vacancies through the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. Indian Navy Musician Recruitment 2023-2024 as online application form, salary, eligibility criteria, selection process, physical, important dates, notification etc is given below.
Indian Navy MR Musician Bharti 02/2023
Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits – Agniveer will be paid a package of ₹30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and travel allowances will be paid.

Eligibility Criteria – Eligibility criteria like age limit, educational qualification, musical ability, proficiency and experience for Indian Navy Musician is as follows:
Age Limit – Candidate should be born between 01 Nov 2002 to 30 Apr 2006 (both dates inclusive). No age relaxation is permissible.
Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) from the Boards of School Education recognized by Ministry of Education, Govt of India.
Musical Ability – Candidates should have proficiency in Aural Aptitude for music with accuracy in Tempo, Pitch and singing one complete song. Should also have practical skill on any instrument of Indian or foreign origin with proficiency in tuning of instrument, matching unknown notes with instrument, prepared piece, sight reading of Indian Classical/ Tabulature/ Staff Notation, performance of Scale/ Raaga/ Taala and basic theory of Indian or International music.
The candidates would be required to perform with expertise on one or more instruments such as Keyboard/ String/ Wind instruments or any other instrument of Indian or Foreign origin. Candidates performing on Indefinite Pitch Instruments such as Jazz Drums set, Brass Drum, Snare Drums, Side Drums, Cymbals, Non Chromatic instruments such as Bugle & monotone instruments used to produce only one note or drone will not be eligible for recruitment.
Musical Experience Certificate:
1. Candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music on Wind Instruments will require a musical experience certificate from any recognized musical Institute or organization of repute.
2. Any music certificate from nationally or internationally recognised music institute such as TCL or RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, GMI, etc, will be mandatory for candidates performing western notation or western music on Wind Instruments.
3. Other candidates will be required to submit certificates of participation/ awards presented at various events.
Indian Navy Musician Selection Process and Physical
Agniveer MR Musician selection process consists of Shortlisting, Stage-1 (Preliminary Screening, Physical Fitness Test and Recruitment Medical Examination), Stage-2 (Final Screening Test) and Final Medical examination as follows:
Shortlisting – Shortlisting of candidates for Stage 1 (Preliminary Screening) will be based on marks obtained in the matriculation examination. Only candidates holding valid music certificates (Degree/ Diploma/ Grade/ Certificate of Competitions) will be considered for shortlisting.
Stage 1 (Preliminary Screening Test) – Shortlisted candidates will be issued call-up letter for Stage-1 comprising of Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Music Screening Test and Recruitment Medical Examination. Candidates qualified in PFT and Preliminary Music Test will have to undergo Recruitment Medical Examination. The Stage-1 is tentatively scheduled to be held in July 2023 at the centres allocated by the Indian Navy.
Admit Card (Call letter) to all shortlisted candidates indicating date, time and place for Stage 1 (Preliminary Screening) will be uploaded on the official website tentatively by July 2023. All original music certificates, mark sheets and Domicile certificate (which have been uploaded whilst filling online application) are to be produced at the time of Preliminary Screening Test.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) – The PFT for male candidates consists of 1.6 Km run within 06 Minutes 30 Seconds, 20 Squats (Uthak Baithak) and 12 Push-ups. While, the PFT for female candidates consists of 1.6 Km run within 08 Minutes, 15 Squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Bent Knee Sit-ups. Physical Fitness Test will be conducted for all candidates appearing for Stage-1 and qualifying in PFT is mandatory for selection.
Recruitment Medical Examination – The medical exam will be carried out for candidates who qualify Music Screening Test and PFT. Candidates qualifying Recruitment Medical Examination will be considered for Final Screening Test held at INS Kunjali.
Stage 2 (Final Screening) – Candidates qualified in Stage 1 will have to undergo Stage 2 (Final Screening) subject to qualification in PFT and Recruitment Medical Examination. All qualified candidates will be called to INS Kunjali, Colaba, Mumbai for final screening test and selection on All India Basis tentatively scheduled in September 2023.
Thereafter, a merit list will be prepared from all the candidates who qualify in Final Screening in all respects depending upon available vacancies. The Merit list will be declared through the official website. All selected candidates will have to undergo Final Medical Examination at INS Chilka (Odisha).
Height – Male: Minimum 157 Cms and Female: Minimum 152 Cms
Chest – Minimum 5 Cms expansion
Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Without Glasses – Better Eye: 6/60 and Worse Eye: 6/60
With Glasses – Better Eye: 6/9 and Worse Eye: 6/24
The candidates must be in good physical and medical health free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat. Candidates are advised to get their ears cleaned for wax and tartar removed from teeth prior to examination.
Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and back (dorsal) part of hand/reverse side of palm. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body is not acceptable and candidate will be banned from recruitment.
Online Application Form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and desirous candidates are required to register (if not registered already) and submit online application form for the Indian Navy MR Musician Recruitment on the website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in from 26th June to 02nd July 2023. Keep ready scanned copies of color photograph with blue background, 10th mark sheet & certificate, music certificates, domicile certificate etc required documents to upload online.
After successful registration of online form take a copy of the system generated application form for further requirements. You’ll have to carry all original certificates, music certificates, domicile certificate, mark sheet and call letter (admit card) at the time of Stage 1 (Preliminary Screening Test).
