CISF Fireman Selection Process, Physical and Exam Pattern

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has released recruitment notice to conduct the Constable Fire selection process at various recruitment centers. CISF Constable Fire Selection Process 2024-2025

Constable Fireman selection tests will be conducted by the CISF at respective recruitment centers. Candidates whose application forms are found to be in order will be issued Admit Card/ Call Letter. The E-Admit Card for PET/ PST/ Documents verification, Written exam and Medical examination will be issued about 10 days before the exam date.

CISF Fireman Admit Card will be made available through the official website cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in (will not be sent by post). You can download your Admit Card using your Registration ID and Password.

You will have to carry 02 passport size recent colour photographs and 01 original valid Photo ID Proof such as Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Identity Card issued by University/ College/ Government, Employer ID Card, ESM Discharge Book issued by the MoD or any photo ID card issued by Central/ State Govt to the exam center for identification purpose.

CISF Fireman Selection Procedure

Candidates will have to undergo different stages of recruitment process as given below (step by step):

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Firstly, candidates will be asked to go through the Height Bar. Then candidates qualified in Height Bar Test (HBT) will go through the PET (Run) followed by biometric registration (Left thumb impression (LTI)/ Right thumb impression (RTI)/ Fingers impression). PET will be of qualifying in nature and it will not carry any marks. PET will not be conducted for the Ex-serviceman candidates.

Race – 05 Kms Run within 24 Minutes.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates qualified in Height Bar Test and PET will be allowed for Physical Standard Test (PST). Constable Fire Height, Chest and Weight (Physical Standards) will be measured as follows:

Height
GEN/ SC/ OBC Candidates – 170 Cms
ST/ Adivasis Candidates – 162.5 Cms
Candidates belonging to categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Ladakh, Kashmir Valley of J&K and North Eastern States – 165 Cms

Chest (Minimum expansion 05 Cms)
GEN/ SC/ OBC Candidates – 80-85 Cms
ST/ Adivasis Candidates – 77-82 Cms
Candidates belonging to categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Ladakh, Kashmir Valley of J&K and North Eastern States – 78-83 Cms

Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Documents Verification (Documentation)

Candidates declared qualified in PET/PST will be allowed to appear for Document Verification (DV) or Checking of Original documents. Candidates will have to produce all original documents/ certificates in proof of details as given in the application form.

As per the official notice, the following documents will be verified at the time of document verification:

1. Matriculation and Senior Secondary Examination Certificates to prove age, name and educational qualification.
2. Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority.
3. Discharge Certificate and undertaking in the prescribed format from Ex-servicemen candidates.
4. Caste Certificate (as applicable) in the prescribed format from the candidates seeking reservation/ age relaxation.
5. Certificate from candidates who wish to avail relaxation in height/ chest measurement as per prescribed format.
6. Certificate from District Collector/ District Magistrate in respect of dependent applicants of riot victims.
7. Nativity/ Identity Certificate by West Pakistani Refugee in the prescribed format.
8. Certificate from serving defense personnel in the format prescribed.
9. Undertaking in the format prescribed from Ex-servicemen candidates.
10. Two passport size recent photographs of the candidates and one photo bearing identification proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport or any photo bearing ID card issued by Central/ State Govt.

Written Exam (OMR/ CBT Mode)

Candidates qualified in the PET, PST and Documents Verification will be called to appear in the OMR based Written Exam or Computer Based Test (CBT). Information about the exam date and Admit Card for Written Examination (OMR/CBT) will be intimated only through the official website.

Exam Syllabus/ Pattern – CISF Fireman exam will be of 02 Hours duration and will consist of total 100 objective multiple choice type questions (01 mark each) comprising 04 Parts (Part A, B, C & D). The CT Fire Question Paper will be of 12th standard (science subject) and will comprise of questions on General Intelligence, Reasoning, General Knowledge, Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/ Hindi as follows:

  • Part A (General Intelligence and Reasoning): 25 Questions (25 Marks)
  • Part B (General Knowledge and Awareness): 25 Questions (25 Marks)
  • Part C (Elementary Mathematics): 25 Questions (25 Marks)
  • Part D (Basic knowledge of English/ Hindi): 25 Questions (25 Marks)

The question paper will be set both in Hindi and English. There will be no negative marking in the written exam. After the Written exam/ CBT, CISF Fireman Answer Key (tentative) will be made available on the official website cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in.

Minimum cut off marks to qualify Written exam/ CBT:
UR/ EWS/ Ex-Servicemen category – 35% Marks
SC/ ST/ OBC category – 33% Marks

After completion of PET/ PST/ DV and Written Exam, State and category wise Merit lists will be prepared based on the performance of candidates in Written exam/ CBT and vacancies allotted to each State.

Medical Examination (DME/ RME)

The candidates about 02 times of the number of vacancies allotted to the States/UTs in each categories will be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) which will be carried out by Medical Boards. The candidates will be medically examined to assess their physical and medical fitness as prescribed in the eligibility conditions.

Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect. Candidates declared Unfit in DME and not satisfied with the findings of the Initial Medical Examination, can submit appeal for Review Medical Examination (RME).

For selection as CISF Fireman, State and category wise merit lists as Un-reserved, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM will be drawn separately in respect of each State/UTs based on the performance of candidates in the Written Exam and number of vacancy allotted to the State/UT.
