Indian Army, HQ 2 Signal Training Centre Panaji (Goa) has released the job notification for 190 Vacancies of CSBO (Civilian Switch Board Operator) Grade II, Group C post. All eligible Indian citizens can apply online (by email) for Army HQ 2 STC CSBO Vacancy through the fillable PDF application form available at indianarmy.nic.in till 31 May 2026. Indian Army CSBO Grade II Group C Recruitment 2026
Total Number of Vacancies – 190 Posts (Group C).
Pay Scale – Rs 21700-69100 plus allowances (Level-3, Cell-1) as per new pay matrix of 7th CPC.
CSBO Grade II Category-wise Vacancy Details:
1. UR Category – 94 Vacancies
2. EWS Category – 19 Vacancies
3. OBC Category – 43 Vacancies
4. SC Category – 22 Vacancies
5. ST Category – 12 Vacancies
Note: Out of the total posts of Civilian Switch Board Operator Grade II, 12 posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) and 20 posts are reserved for Ex-Servicemen (ESM).

Age Limit – 18 to 25 years as on the last date for receipt of application. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ ST/ OBC/ ESM will be applicable as per Govt rules.
Relaxation in upper age limit of 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for the candidates belonging to Persons with Disabilities (additional 05 years in case of PwBD belonging to SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category). Ex-servicemen (Army, Navy or Air Force) are eligible for an additional relaxation of 03 years.
Educational Qualification – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board and proficiency in handling Private Board Exchange (PBX) Board. Minimum duration of experience should be 06 months. Fluency in spoken English and Hindi is desirable.

Army CSBO Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process includes Written Test, Practical Test and Interview. Candidates whose applications are found correct and who are eligible for the written exam will be issued Admit Card through email. After the written test, the qualified candidates will have to undergo practical test and interview (qualifying).
The recruitment tests will be conducted by the selection board at 2 STC, Goa. Exam date, time and venue for the Written Examination, Practical test and Interview will be intimated in Admit Card (Call letter) issued through registered/ valid email ID.
While appearing for the examination, it is mandatory for you to carry original copies of all the required documents (see the list below) and two self-attested photographs for verification.
Written Examination – The written test will comprise of four parts consisting of objective multiple choice type questions of class 10th standard. The exam will be of maximum 100 Marks. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi) and will consist of questions based on General Intelligence & Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness, General English and Logic & Reasoning.
- General Intelligence and Numerical Aptitude – 25 Marks
- General Awareness – 25 Marks
- General English – 25 Marks
- Logic and Reasoning – 25 Marks
After the written examination, the shortlisted candidates will also have to appear for practical test and interview, which will be of qualifying nature. Practical test and interview will be conducted to check the efficiency of the candidate in handling exchange operations.
Only shortlisted candidates based on their performance in the written test, practical test and interview will be proceeded for medical test, as per extant government orders.
For selection, the final merit list (result) will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the written test subject to qualifying the practical test, interview, medical test and document verification.
The initial appointment will be for a probation period of 02 years, after which the candidates will be appointed permanently, provided they are found suitable for the post during the probation period.

Application Form, Required Documents and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply for Army CSBO Grade II Recruitment Defence Vacancies on the given application form (fillable PDF) downloaded from indianarmy.nic.in through the direct link below. After completing the fillable PDF Application form in all respect, you will have to send it along with the required documents (as attachments) to the official email ID sunshine.rise@nic.in.
Required documents – Self-attested photocopies of the following documents/ certificates must be attached with your application form:
1. Birth Certificate (Matriculation Certificate/ Mark Sheet).
2. Educational Certificate (Matriculation Passing Certificate and Mark sheet).
3. Experience Certificate in handling PBX Board.
4. Residential Certificate.
5. Domicile Certificate.
6. Aadhaar Card. PAN Card is Optional.
7. Certificate in prescribed format in support of belonging to the reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PwBD). For Ex-servicemen, in addition to the category certificate, a copy of discharge certificate is mandatory.
8. No Objection Certificate from present employer (if the applicant is already a Government servant).
9. Passport size photograph in JPG format (not older than 03 months).
Note: You must carry original copies of all the above documents and two self-attested photographs for verification while appearing for the Indian Army CSBO Exam at 2 STC, Goa.

Important Steps to Submit Army CSBO Application Form:
1. Download the official employment notification PDF.
2. Open this PDF only in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
3. Fill out the Fillable Application Form given on page 5 to 7.
4. Save the form and rename the file to CSBO_YourFullName.pdf (for example CSBO_RAJESH_KUMAR_SHARMA.pdf).
5. Prepare documents by clearly scanning or taking photograph of each document and saving them as separate files. Save your passport size photo (JPG file) as PHOTO_YourFullName.jpg to attach it to the email.
6. Finally, send your application form and documents in a single Email as follows:
