Army Ordnance Corps Centre Secunderabad invited applications for filling up the following 723 Defence Civilian Vacancies of Tradesman Mate, Fireman, MA, JOA etc at various Units/ Depots. AOC Centre Secunderabad Vacancies 2024-2025

Pay Scale:
Tradesman Mate and MTS – Rs 18000-56900 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix level-1.
Fireman, Junior Office Assistant, Civil Motor Driver, Tele Operator Grade II, Carpenter & Joiner and Painter & Decorator – Rs 19900-63200 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix level-2.
Material Assistant – Rs 29200-92300 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix level-5.

The Group C Posts of Tradesman, Fireman, MA, JOA etc will be filled at various Ordnance Depot/ Units located in the state of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Sikkim as per the details below.

Age Limit (As on 22nd Dec 2024):

Tradesman Mate, Fireman, Junior Office Assistant, Tele Operator Grade II, Carpenter & Joiner, Painter & Decorator and MTS – 18 to 25 years.
Material Assistant and Civil Motor Driver (OG) – 18 to 27 years.

Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Serviceman and other categories will be applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification:

Tradesman Mate – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a Govt recognized Board. Certificate in any Trade from a recognized Industrial Training Institute is desirable.

Fireman – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent qualification from a Govt recognized Board.

Material Assistant – Graduate in any discipline from any recognized University or Diploma in Material Management or Diploma in Engineering in any Discipline from any recognized Institution.

Junior Office Assistant (JOA) – 12th Pass from a recognized Board and Typing Speed of 35 words per minute in English on computer or a typing speed of 30 words per minute in Hindi on computer.

Civil Motor Driver (OG) – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognised board and Civilian Driving license of heavy vehicles with 02 years experience of driving such vehicles.

Tele Operator Grade II – 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent with English as compulsory subject and proficiency in handling in PBX board. Fluency in spoken English is desirable.

Carpenter & Joiner and Painter & Decorator – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognised Board and Certificate in the trade from a recognised ITI of 3 years training and / or Experience of actual work in the trade.

MTS – 10th Pass (Matriculation) or equivalent from a recognised Board. Conversant with the duties of the respective trades with 01 year experience in trade, is desirable.

AOC Selection Process, Physical and Exam Pattern

The recruitment process consists of Stage-1 (Physical Test/ Typing Test/ Driving Test/ Skill Test as applicable) of qualifying nature and Stage-2 (Written Exam). Date and time for the Physical/ Typing/ Driving/ Skill Test/ Written Exam will be intimated through Admit Card (Call letter) only to individuals whose applications received in order and are found correct in all respects after scrutiny by AOC Centre Secunderabad.

In case of large number of applications received, candidates will be shortlisted in ratio of 1:50 and 1:75 for the recruitment tests on the basis of marks obtained in the prescribed minimum educational qualification.

For the posts of Tradesman Mate, Fireman, Material Assistant, Tele Operator Grade-II and MTS, candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:50 per post for each category. For the posts of JOA, CMD (OG), Carpenter & Joiner and Painter & Decorator, candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of 1:75 per post for each category.

The venue and schedule of Recruitment Rally will be indicated in the Admit Card sent through registered email ID and candidates will have to report at the allotted Exam Centre accordingly.

Physical Test (For Tradesman/ Fireman)

Tradesman Mate:

Physical Endurance Test (PET) for the post of Tradesman (Mate) male/ female will be qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to pass the following tests:

Male Candidates – 1.5 Km Run within 06 Minutes and Carrying a weight 50 Kgs to a distance of 200 Meters within 100 seconds.
Female Candidates – 1.5 Km Run within 08 Minutes 26 Seconds and Carrying a weight 50 Kgs to a distance of 200 Meters within 03 Minutes 45 Seconds (225 Seconds).

Fireman:

Physical Measurements Test (PMT) – Height: 165 Cms (relaxation of 2.5 Cms for ST candidates), Chest: 81.5-85 Cms and Weight: 50 Kgs.

Physical Endurance Test – The PET for the post of Fireman will be qualifying in nature. Candidates are required to pass the following tests:

• 1.6 Kms Run (Within 06 Minutes for male candidates and within 08 Minutes 26 Seconds for female candidates).
• Carrying a man (Fireman lift) of 63.5 Kgs to 183 Meters distance within 96 Seconds.
• Clearing 2.7 Meters wide ditch landing on both feet (long jump).
• Climbing 03 Meters vertical rope using hands and feet.

Written Examination

Candidates qualified in Stage-1 (Physical Test/ Typing Test/ Driving Test/ Skill Test, wherever applicable) will only be called for the OMR based written exam. The written exam question paper will be of 10th/ 12th/ Graduation Standard and will be bilingual (English and Hindi). Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applicable for each wrong answer.

The written exam for the posts of Tradesman Mate, Fireman, Material Assistant, Junior Office Assistant, Civil Motor Driver (OG), Tele Operator Grade II, Carpenter & Joiner, Painter & Decorator and MTS will be of 02 Hours duration and will consist of total 150 objective type questions (01 Mark each) of maximum 150 Marks as per the pattern below.

• General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 Questions (50 Marks)

Sample Question Paper (12th Level)

For selection, post and category wise final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in written examination subject to qualifying the medical fitness test, police verification, education and caste verification. On final selection, the candidate will be liable for All India Service Liabilities.

AOC Syllabus (All Posts) and Exam Centres

General Intelligence and Reasoning – It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies and differences, space visualization, problem solving analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship, concepts, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc.

The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions etc.

General English – Candidates understanding of English language and its correct usage, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage etc.

Numerical Aptitude – The paper will include questions on problems relating to Number systems, computation whole numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of tables and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work etc.

General Awareness – Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around them and its applications to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of currents events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected out of educated personnel.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general policy including Indian constitution and scientific research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Assam – Narangi (Guwahati).
Jammu & Kashmir – Jindra and Kundru.
Madhya Pradesh – Jabalpur.
Maharashtra – Pune (Dehu Road), Pune (Talegaon Dabhade) and Pulgaon (Wardha).

Due to various administrative reasons, all of the above mentioned exam centres may not be nominated to conduct Recruitment Rally. Exact details will be available to the candidates while filling up the online application form.

Application form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply online for the AOC Recruitment Civilian Defence Vacancies through the official website aocrecruitment.gov.in up to 22nd Dec 2024. Before applying online, keep ready a valid mobile number, email id and scanned copies of qualification, photograph, signature, ID proof etc for uploading with the application form.

You are advised to apply for only one post to which you prefer to appear, if shortlisted. After submitting the online application form, take printout of the system generated form and e-acknowledgement for future references. The printout of online form or any other certificates are not required to be sent to AOC Centre Secunderabad.

Required Documents – Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:

• ID Proof (Aadhar Card/ PAN Card/ Voter ID/ Passport, size 30-50 KB).
• Latest passport size photograph (not more than 03 months old from the date of application and the face of the candidate should be clearly visible with both the ears and should cover atleast 70% of the photo, size max 20 Kb).
• Class 10th passing certificate, issued by Matriculation board or equivalent from a recognized board any other such documents as per General Instructions on the website (only in JPEG/JPG format of size 30-50 KB each).
• Supporting documents/ certificates for Caste, Category, Ex-Serviceman (Discharge Book) and Sports Quota Person (as applicable).
