11,127 New Jobs as Assistant Loco Pilot in Indian Railways

Indian Railway Recruitment Board has invited applications for the following 11127 Vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in various RRBs against employment notice 01/2026. Eligible candidates from all the States/ UTs can apply online for the ALP Bharti Vacancies through the official website rrbapply.gov.in from 15 May to 14 June 2026. Railway All RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Bharti 2026

Pay Scale – Rs 19900-63200 (7th CPC Pay Matrix level 02) plus other allowances.

Total Number of Vacancies – 11127 Posts.

Age Limit – 18 to 30 Years as on 01st Jul 2026 i.e. a candidate must be born between 02 Jul 1995 and 01 Jul 2007 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Govt rules.

Educational Qualification:

10th Pass (Matriculation)/ SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the trades of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio &a TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. OR

10th Pass (Matriculation)/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above. OR

10th Pass (Matriculation)/ SSLC plus 03 years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering or Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized Institution in lieu of ITI.

Note: Degree in the Engineering disciplines as above will also be acceptable in lieu of Diploma in Engineering.

Selection and Recruitment Procedure:

The recruitment process for the selection of Assistant Loco Pilot consists of First stage CBT, Second stage CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test and Document Verification followed by Medical Examination. Application form, Important Dates and Notification

Eligible and interested candidates will have to submit online application form for the Railway Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment through the website www.rrbapply.gov.in from 15th May to 14th June 2026. Candidates can apply to only one RRB and only one application per candidate will be accepted. Applicants who submit more than one application against this recruitment will be disqualified and debarred.

Before applying online, keep ready your valid Email ID, Mobile number, Educational qualification details and Scanned copies of color photograph (50 to 150 Kb in jpeg format), signature (30 to 49 Kb in jpeg format) and SC/ST Certificate (max 400Kb in pdf format). For submitting Assistant Loco Pilot Application form, follow the important steps below:

Registration (Create an Account) – Firstly submit the registration form with the required details (Name, Date of Birth, Father’s name, Mother’s Name, Aadhar number, mobile number, email-id and password). You are advised to fill the details required for account creation carefully, as no corrections will be allowed after account creation.

Note: Candidates who have already created an account for any RRB Centralised Employment Notice issued in 2024 do not need to register again. They should login using the same username and password.

Application Form – Now log in using registered mobile number/ email id and password to complete the application form. You have to select the RRB for which you want to apply and select the post and zones within the chosen RRB. Fill Remaining personal and other required details including essential educational qualification.

Fee Payment – Finally, you have to pay the requisite examination fee. The confirmation page of the online application form will be generated only after successful fee payment.

After successful submission of online application, you are advised to take a printout of the online application form containing registration number for reference and record. The printout of the application form is not required to send the RRB

Note: If anything goes wrong, you can modify or make changes (except details filled in Registration or Create an Account form and Chosen RRB) in your application till the closing date by paying the modification fee of Rs. 250/-. The modification window will be available from 17th June to 26th June 2026.

Examination Fee:
GEN/ OBC Category – Rs. 500/-
SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically backward class – Rs. 250/-
The exam fee can be paid online by using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

Fee refund: Rs 400 to GEN/ OBC Category and Rs 250 to other categories will be refunded (deducting Bank charges) on appearing in 1st Stage CBT.

Starting date of submission of online application – 15th May 2026 (00.01 AM)
Last date for submission of online application – 14th June 2026 (11.59 PM)
Correction in online application – 17th June to 26th June 2026
Exam date (First stage CBT) – to be updated
E-Call letter download – Will be available 04 days before CBT/ CBAT (eligible candidates will be informed via SMS/ Email).
