UKPSC Lecturer Recruitment Exam 2025-2026
Update: The Screening Exam phase has been removed from the direct recruitment process of Lecturers for Govt Secondary Schools of the State. Now the recruitment will be done only on the basis of subject wise written examination. UKPSC will conduct the subject wise written exam and then prepare the merit list for each subject based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the examination.

The Latest Eligibility Criteria for Lecturer Recruitment such as age limit, educational and essential/ desirable/ preferential qualification are as follows:

To be eligible to apply for the Group C Recruitment, a candidate must have completed his/her High School and Intermediate or equivalent level education from recognized institutions situated in the state of Uttarakhand and whose name must be registered in any employment office situated in the state of Uttarakhand till the last date of receipt of application.
Preferential Qualification – Preference will be given to those candidates who have served in Territorial Army for a minimum period of 02 years OR who have obtained NCC B/ C Certificate OR who have obtained NSS C Certificate.

Uttarakhand Pravakta Selection Procedure
As we know, UKPSC had cancelled the previous selection process for direct recruitment to the posts of Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education (Lecturer Cadre, ‘Group-C’) Service (General Branch and Women Branch). Now, based on the changed rules, the Commission has again published the advertisement for selection on these posts, the detailed information related to which has been updated here.
The recruitment process for the post of Uttarakhand Pravakta (Lecturer) 2025-2026 will be completed in a single phase test. Now the selection only consists of subject-wise written examination consisting of Paper I and Paper II.
Subject List for Written Exam – Agriculture, Drawing/Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Civics, Commerce, Economics, Geography, Hindi, History, Home Science, Mathematics, Physics, Sanskrit, English and Sociology.
- Paper I – 150 Questions (150 Marks)
- Paper II – 150 Questions (150 Marks)
The written exam will consist of Objective Type Questions based on the concerned teaching subject and the exam will be conducted by UKPSC at various centers on scheduled date and time (See Exam Calendar). Each paper will be of 03 Hours duration containing a total of 150 objective type multiple choice questions based on the concerned teaching subject carrying a maximum of 150 Marks.
To qualify in the written examination, minimum 45% marks are required for Unreserved category, 40% marks for EWS/OBC, 35% marks for SC/ST/DFF/ESM and 30% marks for PwD.
Minimum qualifying marks in written exam:
अनारक्षित श्रेणी – 45%
अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग श्रेणी – 40%
आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग श्रेणी – 40%
अनुसूचित जाति/ अनुसूचित जनजाति श्रेणी – 35%
उत्तराखण्ड के डी.एफ.एफ – 35%
भूतपूर्व सैनिक – 35%
उत्तराखण्ड के दिव्यांग – 30%
In the exam, there will be negative marking for wrong answers marked by the candidate. For each wrong answer given by the candidate, one-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as negative marking. Similarly, if a candidate gives more than one answer to the same question (even if one of the given answers is correct), one-fourth (1/4) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as negative marking.
For selection in Uttarakhand Lecturer posts, subject-wise merit list (result) will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. In the case of obtaining similar marks by two or more candidates, the merit will be determined on the basis of general suitability.
The recruitment process conducted by the Commission will be carried out in accordance with the provisions described in the relevant Service Rules pertaining to the posts, the latest applicable Acts/ Rules/ Manuals/ Guidelines and the decisions taken by the Hon’ble Commission from time to time.
Information about the Lecturer Written Exam like date, time, center etc will be notified through Admit Card. The admit card will not be sent by Post, rather it will be made available online on the official website about 1-2 week before the exam date.

Written Exam Centers – According to the prescribed examination scheme/ syllabus for Lecturer posts, subject-wise written exams (objective type) will be conducted at centers located in Haridwar and Haldwani. However, if the number of candidates is less, the examination will be conducted only in Haridwar.

Application Form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply online for the Uttarakhand Pravakta Recruitment Teacher Vacancies through the website psc.uk.gov.in or ukpsc.net.in from 31st Dec 2025 to 20th Jan 2026.
Candidates who have previously applied online in response to the advertisement published in October 2024 (for 613 Vacancies), for the Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education (Lecturer Cadre ‘Group-C’) Service (General Branch and Women Branch) Examination-2024, do not need to apply again in response to this advertisement. The applications previously submitted by these candidates for the Lecturer posts (excluding the Art subject) will be considered valid.
In addition, candidates who have previously applied in response to the aforementioned advertisement but wish to apply again in response to the new advertisement may cancel their previous online application and submit a new one.
However, in this case, the fee already paid will not be refunded; that is, the candidate will have to pay the application fee again for the new online application form. For such candidates, the crucial date for age calculation will be July 01, 2025 and the crucial date for other eligibility criteria will be the last date of application.

Candidates can apply for more than one branch and subjects, for which candidates will have to submit only one online application form. Male candidates can apply only for the General Branch, while female candidates can apply for the both General Branch and Women Branch. In case of applying for more than one subject, the prescribed fee for each subject has to be deposited separately.
To apply online for the Uttarakhand Special Subordinate Education (Lecturer Cadre – Group C) Service Exam-2025 firstly go through the One Time Registration (OTR) process and then login using your registered E-mail ID & Password to submit the online form.
You are advised to read the advertisement carefully and follow all the instructions given for submitting online application form. Supply all the required details correctly while filling the Uttarakhand Pravakta online form. After successful registration of online form take a printout of the computer generated application form.
There is no need to submit/send the printout copy of the online application form or any other certificate to the commission office at this stage. Keep the printout of the online application form for future correspondence with the commission and other necessary evidence/ use.

SC/ ST Category – Rs 60/-
PwD/ Orphan Category – Nil
The requisite application fee (plus processing fee) can be paid online by using Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI.
