Eligibility Criteria (Age and Qualification)
Age Limit:
Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Office Assistant III (Accounts) and Cashier Cum-Assistant Accountant – 21 to 42 Years as on 01st Jul 2026 i.e. candidate should be born between 02 July 1984 and 01 July 2005. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC and other categories is applicable as per Govt rules.
Assistant Accountant/ Junior Auditor – 18 to 42 Years as on 01st Jul 2026 i.e. candidate should be born between 02 July 1984 and 01 July 2008. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC and other categories is applicable as per Govt rules.
Educational Qualification:
Accountant – B.Com with MBA (Finance)/ B.Com with PGDBA (Finance)/ M.Com and appropriate post qualification experience (minimum 5 years) in Govt/ Semi Govt/ Public Sector/ Reputed Ltd Co. The candidate must have served at least 3 years in the relevant post and grade immediately below post applied for.
Assistant Accountant – Graduate degree in Commerce from a recognized University or BBA or Post Graduate in Accountancy and Hindi typing with a minimum speed of 4000 key-depressions per hour.
Assistant Accountant/ Junior Auditor – Graduate degree in Commerce from a recognized University or BBA or Post Graduate in Accountancy and Hindi typing with a minimum speed of 4000 key-depressions per hour.
Office Assistant III (Accounts) – Graduate degree in Commerce from any university with vast knowledge of Hindi Devanagari script. Hindi typing with a minimum speed of 6000 key-depressions per hour and English typing with a minimum speed of 7000 key-depressions per hour on computer is mandatory. Candidate should have minimum 01 year diploma/ certificate in computer course.
Cashier Cum-Assistant Accountant – B.Com or equivalent from any recognized university/ institute with knowledge of accounts keeping petty cash book and Accounting.
Preferential Qualification: Other things being equal, preference will be given to a candidate who has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years OR Possess B/ C certificate of National Cadet Corps.
To be eligible to apply for these Group C (Samuh G), a candidate must be registered in any Employment Exchange situated in Uttarakhand till the last date of receipt of applications OR must possess Domicile/ Permanent Residence Certificate of Uttarakhand OR must have passed 10th and 12th or equivalent level education from recognized institutions situated in the State of Uttarakhand.

Sahayak Lekhakar Selection Process
The recruitment process for Sahayak Lekhakar and other posts consists of an objective type written exam carrying a maximum of 100 Marks followed by typing test of qualifying nature. The written exam is proposed to be held by the Commission on 12 October 2026 (See UKSSSC Exam Calendar).
The question paper will be of 02 Hours duration and will comprise of total 100 Objective Type with Multiple Choice questions (01 mark each) based on educational qualification prescribed for the post.
The latest and detailed Syllabus for the Posts of Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Office Assistant III (Accounts), Assistant Accountant/ Junior Auditor and Cashier Cum-Assistant Accountant is given below.
To qualify in the written examination, minimum 45 marks will be required for GEN/OBC candidates and minimum 35 marks for SC/ST candidates. Negative marking of ¼ marks will be applicable for every wrong answer marked by candidates.
Finally, candidates declared successful in the written examination (objective type) will be called for Typing Test on computer (as applicable) followed by Document Verification. For selection as Assistant Accountant/ Office Assistant III (Accounts)/ Junior Auditor/ Cashier, final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.
