Indian Army has invited applications for the following 76 Vacancies against NCC Special Entry Scheme 124th Course (Oct 2026) for the grant of Short Service Commission (NT). Eligible male candidates can apply online for NCC Bharti Vacancies through joinindianarmy.nic.in from 12 Feb to 16 Mar 2026 and female candidates from 13 Feb to 16 Mar 2026. Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 2026-2027
Total Number of Vacancies – 76 Posts
NCC Men – 70 (General: 63, Wards of Battle Casualties: 07)
NCC Women – 06 (General: 05, Wards of Battle Casualties: 01)
Age Limit – 19 to 25 years as on 01 Jul 2026 (including wards of Battle Casualties) i.e. candidate should be born between 02 Jul 2001 and 01 Jul 2007 (both dates inclusive). Unmarried male and female candidates (including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel) are eligible to apply for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme.
Educational Qualification:
For NCC C Certificate Holders – Graduation degree from a recognized University and should have served minimum two/three academic years in the senior Division/ Wing of NCC with minimum ‘B’ Grade in ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC. Applicants studying in the final year are also allowed to apply, provided they have obtained bachelor’s degree before the commencement of the course.

For Ward of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel – Graduation degree from a recognized University. Applicants studying in the final year can also apply, provided they have obtained a bachelor’s degree before the commencement of the course. NCC ‘C’ certificate is not required for Ward of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel.
Vacancies under wards of battle casualties are available to wards (unmarried sons and unmarried daughters including legally adopted) of Battle casualties, specified as under:
- Killed in action.
- Died of wound or injuries (Other than self-inflicted).
- Wounded or Injured (Other than self-inflicted).
- Missing, presumed dead.

Military Service Pay (MSP) @ ₹15,500/- per month (fixed) will be admissible to the Officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier. Allowances include DA, Para Reserve Allowance, Technical Allowance, Field Area Allowances, Uniform Allowance, High Altitude Allowance, Siachen Allowance, Ration in Kind, TA, Children Education Allowance etc as applicable.

NCC Special Entry Selection Procedure
Shortlisting of applications for SSB will be based on award of bonus marks out of maximum 100 Marks for Performance in NCC ‘C’ Certificate and Graduation Marks, details of which are as follows:
Bonus Marks for Performance in NCC ‘C’ Certificate – Maximum 50 marks will be awarded for performance in NCC ‘C’ Cert as under:
1. A Grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate – 50 Marks
2. B Grade in NCC ‘C’ Certificate – 25 Marks
Bonus Marks for Performance in Graduation (Marks) – Maximum 50 Marks will be awarded for performance in academics i.e. overall aggregate Graduation, the aggregate marks (percentage) scored in first two/three years of three/four year degree course respectively, will be considered. The bonus marks awarded will be as under:-
1. Upto 60% – Nil
2. 60.00 to 64.99% – 05 Marks
3. 65.00 to 69.99% – 10 Marks
4. 70.00 to 74.99% – 20 Marks
5. 75.00 to 79.99% – 30 Marks
6. 80.00 to 84.99% – 40 Marks
7. 85.00 to 100.00 – 50 Marks
After shortlisting of applications by the Integrated HQ of MoD (Army), the Centre allotment will be intimated to eligible candidates via their email. After allocation of selection centre, candidates have to log in to the official website and select their SSB dates (open for 15 days in April) which are initially available on first come first serve basis. Thereafter, dates for SSB will be allotted by the Selection Centres.
Call up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centre through email/sms to shortlisted candidates. Thereafter shortlisted candidates will have to undergo Services Selection Board (SSB) of two stages at Selection Centre Prayagraj (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Jalandhar (PB). Candidates who qualify Stage-I will be allowed to appear for Stage-II. Finally, candidates recommended after Stage-II will be put through medical examination.
Selected candidates will be detailed for Pre-Commission training at OTA Chennai according to their position in the merit up to the number of available vacancies subject to meeting all eligibility criteria. All candidates who successfully complete 49 weeks training at Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai will be awarded ‘Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies’ by the University of Madras.

Application form, Documents and Notification
Eligible and desirous candidates can apply online for the Indian Army NCC Special Entry Officer Vacancies from 12th Feb to 16th Mar 2026 (See separate dates below). You are required to register and submit online applications on the official website joinindianarmy.nic.in. After submission of online application, you are required to takeout two copies of your application having Roll Number, 30 minutes after final closure of online application on last day. There is no need to send any hard copy to Directorate General Recruiting.

Required Documents – Self attested copy of following documents along with originals are to be carried to the Selection Centre by the candidates:
1. One copy of the Print out of application duly signed and affixed with self-attested photograph.
2. Matriculation/ Secondary School Examination Certificate or equivalent certificate and Mark Sheet issued by the concerned Board of Education.
3. 12th Class Certificate and Marks Sheet.
4. Graduation Degree/ Provisional Degree.
5. Marks Sheets of all years/ semesters.
6. NCC ‘C’ Certificate (not required for Wards of Battle Casualties).
7. The ‘Battle Casualty’ certificate (for Wards of Battle Casualties).
8. A copy of Manpower (Policy & Planning) Directorate (MP Dte)/ Respective Regimental Records Part II Order Number (for Wards of Battle Casualties).
9. Relationship Certificate No issued by MP Dte/ Respective Regimental Records (for Wards of Battle Casualties).
