Indian Air Force has invited applications from unmarried Male and Female candidates to join as Agniveer Vayu (AV) for Intake 02/2026 under Agnipath Scheme. All eligible Indian citizens can apply online for IAF Agniveer Vayu Recruitment through CASB website agnipathvayu.cdac.in from 11 July to 31 July 2025. Airforce Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2026 details like online registration form, eligibility criteria, selection process, syllabus, physical test, dates, notification etc are given below.
Airforce Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025-2026
Unmarried Male/ Female candidates having 10+2 or Diploma/ Vocational Course Certificate from any State/UT of India can submit their Agniveer Vayu Registration Form from 11th July to 31st July 2025 for the Selection Test to be held from 25th September 2025 onwards.
Agniveer Vayu are recruited in the Indian Air Force for a period of 04 years. After completing 04 years of service Agniveer Vayu can apply for Regular cadre as Airmen. Thereafter, upto 25% of each Agniveer Vayu batch will be enrolled in the regular cadre based on objective criteria including performance during their 04 years service period.
Salary and Allowances – Agniveer Vayu is offered a package of ₹30,000/- per month with a fixed annual increment. In addition, allowances such as risk, hardship (as applicable), dress, travelling, ration, clothing, accommodation and LTC are also provided as per extant rules.

Age Limit – Candidate should be born between 02 July 2005 and 02 January 2009 (both days inclusive). The upper age limit is 21 years on the date of enrolment.
Educational Qualification:
Science Subjects – Candidates must have passed 12th (10+2)/ equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
Passed 03 years Diploma Course in Engineering Branches (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic institute with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma course (or in 12th/10th, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). OR
Passed 02 years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects like Physics and Maths from State Education Board/ Council with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in 12th/10th, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Other Than Science Subjects – Candidates must have passed 12th (10+2)/ equivalent examination in any stream/ subjects approved by Central/ State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR
Passed 02 years vocational course with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course (or in 12th/10th, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).
Candidates eligible for Science Subjects exam are also eligible for Other than Science Subjects. Such candidates will be given the option to appear in both Science and Other than Science Subjects exam in one sitting while filling up the online registration form.

Selection Process, Syllabus and Physical Test
Agniveer Vayu Selection Process consists of Phase-I (Online Test), Phase-II (Verification of Eligibility, Physical Fitness Test, Adaptability Test I & II) and Phase-III (Medical Examination) as given in detail below.
Online Test
The online exam is scheduled to be conducted from 25th September 2025 onwards. Admit Card for Phase-I (Online Test) will be sent to the candidates’ registered e-mail ID 2-3 days before the examination. Online test for the Science Subjects, Other Than Science Subjects and for both Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects will be conducted as per the pattern below:
- Science Subjects: The online test will be of 60 Minutes duration and the question paper will consist of Physics, Mathematics and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
- Other Than Science Subjects: The online test will be of 45 Minutes duration and the question paper will consist of English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
- Science Subjects and Other Than Science Subjects: The online test will be of 85 Minutes duration and the question paper will consist of Physics, Mathematics and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
The online exam will be objective type and the questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except the English paper. As per the marking pattern for the online test, 01 mark will be awarded for each correct answer, 0 marks will be awarded for an unattempted question and 0.25 marks will be deducted (as negative marking) for every wrong answer marked by the candidates.

Candidates have to qualify in each paper individually in science subjects and other than science subjects, with normalised marks. Phase-I Result and State-wise shortlisting for Phase-II, based on performance in Phase-I (Online Test), will be uploaded on the candidate’s individual login ID on the CASB website. Thereafter, the selected candidates will be called to the designated ASC on the scheduled date for further selection process.
In case STAR Online Test for Intake 01/2027 is not conducted, Indian Air Force reserves the right to shortlist candidates for Phase-II for Intake 01/2027 on the basis of marks obtained for STAR 02/2026, provided the candidate satisfies the upper age limit as on the date of enrolment.
After declaration of Phase-I Result, Phase-II Admit Card will be sent to all the shortlisted candidates through their registered e-mail ID for examination at the specified ASC as per the residential category opted at the time of registration. Candidates will have to report at the centre with the documents on the scheduled date and time.
Verification of Eligibility
Candidates declared qualified in Phase-1 (Online Test) will have to undergo verification of eligibility. Candidates must have the required documents mentioned below, which will be scrutinized/ verified before the commencement of Phase-II to ascertain their eligibility.
1. Colour print out of admit card for Phase-II.
2. Colour print out of duly filled application form downloaded on completion of online registration.
3. HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler and black/blue ball point pen for writing.
4. Eight copies of un-attested passport size colour photograph (as used for the online registration).
5. Original and four self-attested photocopies of 10th Pass certificate (required for verification of candidate’s name, date of birth and father’s name).
6. Original and four self-attested photocopies of 10th Pass marks sheet (only applicable for 03 years diploma/ 02 years Vocational course holders when English is not a subject in the course).
7. Original and four self-attested photocopies of 12th (10+2)/ equivalent examination passing certificate and marks sheet. OR Original and four self-attested photocopies of 03 years diploma course passing certificate and marks sheets of all semesters. OR Original and four self-attested photocopies of 02 years vocational course passing certificate and all marks sheets including non-vocational course with subjects English, Physics and Mathematics.
8. Original and four self-attested photocopies of Domicile Certificate.
9. Original and four self-attested photocopies of Certificate for COAFP (Children of Air Force Personnel) as per the prescribed format downloaded from CASB web portal (if applicable).
10. Original Phase-I admit card used during Phase-I test bearing Air Force seal and invigilator’s signature.
11. Body tattoo photographs.
12. Original and four self-attested photocopies of NCC ‘A’, ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate (if applicable).
13. Additional Skills/ Qualifications/ Achievements (if any).

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
The Physical Fitness Test consists of two parts, PFT-I and PFT-II as follows:
PFT-I: This includes 1.6 Km run in 07 minutes for male candidates and 1.6 Km run in 08 minutes for female candidates.
PFT-II: This includes 10 Push-ups (in 01 Minute), 10 Sit-ups (in 01 Minute) and 20 Squats (in 01 Minute) for male candidates. Whereas, PFT-II for female candidates consists of 10 Sit-ups (in 01 Minute 30 Seconds) and 15 Squats (in 01 Minute). Candidates are advised to carry their sports shoes and shorts/ track pants for Physical Fitness Test.
Adaptability Test-I
Candidates declared qualified in PFT will be put through Adaptability Test-I (Objective type written test) to assess their suitability for employment in the Indian Air Force which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.
Adaptability Test-II
Candidates qualified in Adaptability Test-I have to undergo Adaptability Test-II as per policy in vogue. Adaptability Test-II is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.
Medical Examination
Candidates who qualify in the Adaptability Test-II will be issued Medical Appointment Letter by the concerned ASC. The medical examination will be conducted by the Air Force Medical Team as per the medical standards of Indian Air Force and the prevailing policy on the subject issue.
Physical and Medical Standards:
Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152 Cms for Male and Female candidates. Female candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 Cms will be accepted (in case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 Cms).
Chest: For male candidates, the minimum chest circumference should be 77 Cms and chest expansion should be at least 05 Cms. For female candidates, the chest wall should be well proportioned and the minimum limit of expansion should be 05 Cms.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Visual: Acuity 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye and Colour Vision CP-II. Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
Hearing: The hearing ability of the candidate should be normal i.e. he/she should be able to hear a whisper coming from a distance of 06 meters from each ear separately.
Dental: The candidate must have healthy gums, good teeth and a minimum of 14 dental points.
General Health: Candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
Body Tattoo – Permanent body tattoos shall not be permitted, however, tattoos only on inner face of the fore arms (inside of elbow to the wrist), back (dorsal) part of the hand/reverse side of palm and for Tribal tattoos which are as per custom and traditions of their tribes may be considered. Candidates with permanent body tattoos are required to submit two postcard size photographs (close up and distant) along with details of size and type of tattoo.
The medical examination will also include basic tests of: Blood Haemogram (Hb, TLC, DLC, Platelets); Urine RE/ME; Biochemistry (Blood Sugar Fasting/ PP, Serum Cholesterol, Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine, LFT- Serum Bilurubin, SGOT, SGPT); X- Ray chest (PA view); Ultrasonography of lower abdomen & Pelvis (For female candidates only); ECG (R) and Any other test necessary in the opinion of the Medical Officer.
After completion of all the tests, Provisional Select List (PSL) will be prepared and inclusion of candidates in the PSL will depend on their performance in the selection test as determined by state wise cut off marks.
Agniveer Vayu PSL (Provisional Select List) for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2026 will be declared on 15th May 2026 through all the Airmen Selection Centres (ASCs) and agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
For selection, final Enrolment list for Agniveer Vayu Intake 02/2026 will be declared on 01st June 2026 in order of merit as per availability of vacancies, medical fitness and eligibility.
IAF Selection Centres (ASC): Ambala Cantt (Haryana), New Delhi, Kanpur, Barrackpore (Kolkata), Jodhpur, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Tambaram (Chennai), Bhubaneswar, Bihta (Patna), Guwahati (Assam), Secunderabad, Kochi and Bhopal.

Registration form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and desirous candidates can apply online for the Airforce Agniveer Vayu Recruitment through the website agnipathvayu.cdac.in from 11th July to 31st July 2025. Keep ready a valid Email ID, Mobile number and scanned copies of all the required documents (10th/12th mark sheet/ certificate, Diploma final year mark sheet, colour photograph, left hand thumb impression, signature etc) for uploading with the online form.
To apply online for the Agniveer Vayu Recruitment you will have to Register (Sign up) on the CASB website. Thereafter, you can submit your online form for either Science Subjects or Other Than Science Subjects or for both Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects in a single application.

Required Documents – The following documents are required to be uploaded with IAF Agniveer Vayu Online Registration form:
1. 10th Pass (Matriculation) certificate.
2. Domicile Certificate/ COAFP Certificate (as applicable).
3. 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent mark sheet. OR 03 years Engineering Diploma final year mark sheet (if applying on the basis of 3 Years Engineering Diploma from a Govt recognised polytechnic in prescribed stream) and 10th Pass mark sheet (if English is not a subject in Diploma course). OR 02 years Vocational Course mark sheet and marks sheets of non-vocational course with subjects English, Physics and Mathematics.
4. Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before Jun 2025) of size 10 to 100 Kb (front portrait in light background without facemask and head gear except for Sikhs). The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters.
5. Candidate’s left hand thumb impression image (size 10 to 100 Kb).
6. Candidate’s signature image (size 10 to 100 Kb).
7. Candidate’s parent’s (Father/ Mother)/ Guardian’s signature image (if candidate is below 18 years on the date of filling the online application).
Examination fee – Candidates will have to pay Rs 550/- plus GST as examination fee. The fee can be paid by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/ UPI.
Important Dates:

Last date for online registration – 31st July 2025 (11 PM)
Online Exam date – from 25th September 2025 onwards
