Uttarakhand BEd Counselling 2025 process will be conducted in three phases, for which online registrations have started from November 09 on the Samarth portal. To participate in the counselling process, candidates need to log in to the Samarth Portal using their registered email ID and password and then submit their college choices.
A total of 7769 candidates appeared in the Uttarakhand Combined B.Ed Entrance Examination 2025-27 conducted by Kumaun University Nainital, out of which 6474 candidates have been declared Qualified. Around 10% failed, while around 6.6% did not appear for the exam.
The process will be conducted in three phases, in which candidates will get the opportunity to choose the college as per their choice. The online counselling for campus/ college/ institute allocation through the Samarth Portal for admission to BEd 2025-27 has been scheduled as follows (revised):
First Phase:
Online registration – 09 to 18 November 2025.
Correction Window – 19 November 2025.
Verification of certificates – 20 to 21 November 2025.
Online college allocation for Qualified candidates – 22 to 24 November 2025.
Admission process at college – 25 November to 02 December 2025.
Second Phase:
College allocation for Qualified/ Unqualified candidates and Management quota – 03 to 04 December 2025.
Admission process at college – 05 to 09 December 2025.
Third Phase:
Declaration of remaining vacant seats – 10 December 2025.
College level counselling – 11 to 13 December 2025.
It is mandatory to fill in correct and updated details at the time of registration for counselling. Candidates who will be allotted a college must report to the college within the stipulated date, otherwise their seat allotment will be considered cancelled.

Uttarakhand BEd Entrance Result 2025 has been declared by Kumaun University and uploaded on Samarth Portal on 27th September, counselling date to be updated. Along with this, the final answer keys of Uttarakhand State Combined BEd Entrance Exam 2025-27 have also been uploaded. You can check your result (marks) by logging in to the Samarth portal using the registered email ID and password.

इस वर्ष उत्तराखंड के विश्वविद्यालयों से संबद्ध महाविद्यालयों में बी.एड पाठ्यक्रम में प्रवेश मेरिट सूची के बजाय प्रवेश परीक्षा के आधार पर होगा। कुमाऊं विश्वविद्यालय नैनीताल को राज्य के विश्वविद्यालयों के लिए बीएड प्रवेश परीक्षा 2025-27 आयोजित करने की जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। श्रीदेव सुमन विश्वविद्यालय और सोबन सिंह जीना विश्वविद्यालय अल्मोड़ा की बीएड प्रवेश प्रक्रिया भी कुमाऊं विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा ही पूरी की जाएगी।
इससे पहले जून माह में उच्च शिक्षा विभाग की ओर से श्रीदेव सुमन विश्वविद्यालय को सोबन सिंह जीना विश्वविद्यालय अल्मोड़ा और कुमाऊं विश्वविद्यालय नैनीताल समेत तीन विश्वविद्यालयों में मेरिट के आधार पर बीएड में प्रवेश देने की जिम्मेदारी दी गई थी। लेकिन अब सरकार ने बीएड कॉलेजों में मेरिट के बजाय संयुक्त प्रवेश परीक्षा आयोजित कर प्रवेश देने का निर्णय लिया है।

Educational Qualification:
General Category – The applicant must have passed graduation or post graduation examination with minimum 50% marks.
SC, ST and OBC Category – The applicant must have passed graduation or post graduation examination with minimum 45% marks.
Apart from this, candidates (GEN, SC, ST and OBC) securing 55% marks in Engineering with specialization in Science and Mathematics or any other qualification equivalent to this will be eligible for admission.
Students who are appearing in final year/ semester of qualifying examination (UG/ PG) are also allowed to fill up online application form, provided that the student has to submit his/her mark sheet (statement of marks obtained) before counselling for admission to BEd course and his/her candidature will be accepted only if he/she fulfils the minimum eligibility prescribed by the University.
Age – No age limit.

BEd Exam Pattern and Centers
Uttarakhand BEd Entrance Exam is being conducted on 14 September 2025 (revised) for admission in all Govt/ Non-Govt/ Self-financed/ Private Colleges/ Institutes affiliated to KU Nainital, SDSUV Tehri Garhwal and SSJU Almora. For which the exam pattern is given below.
Paper-I (Duration 1.30 Hours):
- Language Test (Hindi or English): 50 Questions (50 Marks)
- General Knowledge and Reasoning: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
Paper-II (Duration 1.30 Hours):
- Teaching Aptitude: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
- Optional Subject Aptitude Test (Arts/ Commerce/ Science): 50 Questions (50 Marks)
Commerce graduates will be placed in the Arts group. Thus there will be two groups- Arts Group (Arts and Commerce) and Science Group. But the aptitude test will be different for Arts and Commerce candidates. A candidate can choose only the group from which he has passed his graduation degree.
To pass the entrance exam, it will be mandatory for general category candidates to obtain 40% marks in both papers, i.e. a total of 80 marks, while it will be mandatory for reserved category candidates to obtain 27% marks in both papers, i.e. a total of 54 marks.
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers given by the candidates. It will be compulsory for the student to appear in both Paper I and Paper II. In case of not appearing in any one of the papers, his/her result will not be declared.
Entrance Exam Centers – The exam will be conducted at various centers in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions, which are as follows:
Srinagar, Karnaprayag, Augustmuni, New Tehri, Uttarkashi, Kotdwar, Dehradun, Roorkee, Rishikesh, Haldwani, Kashipur, Khatima, Rudrapur, Nainital, Ramnagar, Bageshwar, Almora, Dwarahat, Champawat and Pithoragarh.
The centres for the entrance examination will be decided by Shridev Suman Uttarakhand University, Kumaun University Nainital and Soban Singh Jeena University Almora.
Reservation in Admission: OBC Category- 14%, SC Category- 19%, ST Category- 04% and EWS Category- 10%.
Horizontal Reservation: Women- 30%, Ex-Servicemen- 05%, Disabled- 05% and Dependents of Freedom Fighter- 02%.

Bonus Marks (अधिमान) for BEd Admission
The details of bonus marks are as follows:
1. Candidates participating in National/ State level/ Inter-University sports competition will be given Bonus marks for one competition only.
In individual item:
On getting first position – 15 Marks.
On getting second position – 10 Marks.
On getting third position – 05 Marks.
In team item:
If you are a member of the champion team – 15 Marks.
If you are a member of the runners up team – 10 Marks.
If you are a member of the participating team – 05 Marks.
2. Only one of the following NCC/ NSS/ Scouts and Guides benefits will be given:
Male candidates having National Cadet Corps ‘C’ certificate and Female candidates having G-2 certificate – 15 Marks.
Male candidates having National Cadet Corps ‘B’ certificate and Female candidates having G-1 certificate – 10 Marks.
OR
Candidates who have served for 240 hours under National Service Scheme and participated in two or more special camps – 15 Marks.
Candidates who have served for 240 hours under National Service Scheme and participated in one special camp – 10 Marks.
Candidates who have served for 240 hours under National Service Scheme – 05 Marks.
OR
Candidates having ‘C’ certificate in National Service Scheme – 15 Marks.
Candidates having ‘B’ certificate in National Service Scheme – 10 Marks.
OR
Candidates receiving National Award of Scouts and Guides – 15 Marks.
Candidates receiving Governor Award of Scouts and Guides – 10 Marks.
Candidates receiving Dhruv Pad or Guru Pad training of Scouts and Guides – 05 Marks.
3. Son/ Daughter/ Son’s son/ unmarried daughter of freedom fighter – 15 Marks.
4. Candidates who are active serving or demilitarized or retired defence personnel or candidates related to disabled, missing or deceased defence personnel as their son/ daughter/ wife – 15 Marks.
5. Candidates who are serving in Police/ PAC/ BSF/ SSB/ ITBP/ CRPF/ Home Guards or related to such employee as their son/ daughter/ wife who is in service or retired, disabled or died while in service – 15 Marks.
6. Female candidates who are widow/ divorced/ abandoned – 15 Marks.
7. Full time, regular and salaried teachers and non-teaching staff of recognized educational institutions or their dependents (marks will be given on the basis of certificate issued by the competent authority) – 15 marks.
The above bonus marks are permissible only for BEd admission. It will be mandatory for the candidates to get their original certificates verified for bonus marks on the dates/ places determined by the University.

Eligible and interested candidates are required to submit online application form for Kumaun University Uttarakhand B.Ed Entrance Exam through University website kunainital.ac.in or Samarth portal ukentrance.samarth.edu.in from 16 August to 07 September 2025 (Extended). Candidates are advised to read the information brochure (notification) carefully and fill all the required details correctly while filling the online form.

GEN/ OBC/ EWS Candidates – Total Rs 1625/- (incl registration fee Rs 50/-).
SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates – Total Rs 1100/- (incl registration fee Rs 50/-).
The fee can be paid by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/ QR Code/ UPI. Entrance exam fee and counselling fee will be paid separately. Rs 50/- extra for Samarth portal registration fee is included in the entrance exam fee.
