The posts of one short term teacher (General subject) and one Accountant/ Clerk in KGBV Type 4 Kapkot and one short term teacher (Maths subject) and one short term teacher (Music subject) in KGBV Type 1 Uttaraura Kapkot are vacant purely on temporary basis.

The short-term recruitment process has started for the posts of three women teachers (general, mathematics and music subjects) and accountant/clerk which were vacant for a long time in Kasturba Gandhi Residential School. Due to this, the studies of the related subjects of the girls studying there were getting affected and there were also difficulties in doing office related work.
Now the management committee has started the recruitment process of short term teachers and accountant/ clerk for the vacant posts in the school. The age limit of the applicant for all the three posts of female teachers should be 21 to 42 years. It is mandatory for the applicant to have done B.Ed along with graduation in the respective subjects.
The age limit of the applicant for the post of Accountant is 21 to 42 years and the educational qualification required is graduation in commerce subject. Interested candidates can send photocopies of certificates related to educational qualification and age by registered post/ personally to the school office.
This arrangement will remain applicable only as long as the outsourcing personnel are employed. In future, no claim of any kind in this regard can be submitted by the personnel.

Essential Qualifications – Graduate with any two subjects from National Science, History, Geography, Economics at graduation level from any University recognized by law in India and B.Ed.

Desirable Experience – Experience of Residential School (Only female candidates will be given preference).

2. Accountant/ Clerk
Salary – Rs 16500/-.
Essential Qualifications – Graduation with Commerce subject from any University recognized by law in India.

Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Scheme
The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) scheme was launched by the Government of India in July 2004. It aims to establish residential schools at the upper primary level in remote areas, mainly for girls belonging to the SC, ST, OBC and Minority communities.
The scheme is implemented in those educationally backward blocks of the country where the female rural literacy rate is lower than the national average and the gender gap in literacy is higher than the national average. In this scheme a minimum of 75% of seats are reserved for girls belonging to SC, ST, OBC or Minority communities and the remaining 25% seats are given preference to girls from BPL families.
Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya Scheme was merged with Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) from April 1, 2007. SSA has been subsumed into the newly launched Integrated School Education Scheme- Samagra Shiksha, effective from the year 2018-19 and along with it, provision has been made for upgrading the existing KGBVs at upper primary level to senior secondary level with capacity of 150-250 girls in convergence with the erstwhile Girls Hostel Scheme.
