This recruitment 01/2025 is being conducted for a total of 14967 Vacancies for various teaching and non-teaching posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (9126 vacancies) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (5841 vacancies). Candidates should have studied Concerned Regional Language as a subject/ elective subject in at least three years/ 06 Semesters in graduation/ Four years integrated degree course. Pay scale, age limit and qualification for Third Language Teachers will be same as TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher).

Educational Qualification – Class XII pass and possessing minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer OR Passed +2 Level of Senior Secondary with Secretarial Practices and Office management as Vocational subject.

8. Jr Secretariat Assistant (JNV Cadre)

10. Multi Tasking Staff (HQ/RO Cadre)

Pay Scale – Rs 18000-56900 Pay matrix level-1.
Educational Qualification – 10th Pass from a recognized board.

NVS TGT PGT Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of Tier-1 Exam, Tier-2 Exam and interview/skill test (as applicable). The examinations for all the posts will be conducted as per the syllabus (pattern) and examination schedule prescribed by NVS/CBSE.
Tier-1 will be a Preliminary (Qualifying) Examination in OMR (Objective) Mode and the examination for all NVS posts (except Multi-Tasking Staff) will be of 02 hours duration with no time limit for each part of the test. The components of the Tier-1 exam are as follows:
Part-I (General Reasoning) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Part-II (Numeric Ability) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Part-III (Basic Computer Literacy) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Part-IV (General Knowledge) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Part-V (Language Competency Test for English) – 10 Questions (30 Marks)
Part-VI (Language Competency Test for one other Modern Indian Languages) – 10 Questions (30 Marks)
For Multi-Tasking Staff, the components of the Tier-1 exam are as follows:
Part-I (General Awareness & Current Affairs) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Part-II (Basic Knowledge of Computer Operation) – 40 Questions (120 Marks)
Part-III (Language Competency Test for English) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
Part-IV (Language Competency Test for One other Modern Indian Languages) – 20 Questions (60 Marks)
There will be negative marking for wrong answers in Tier-1; 1/3rd marks (i.e. 01 mark) will be deducted for each wrong answer. Tier-1 will be a screening test from which candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-2 in the ratio of 1:10 (relative to the notified vacancies).
There will be a separate Tier-2 examination for each post which will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English medium. The Tier-2 exam will be of 2½ hours duration and there will be no time limit for each section of the test. Tier-2 for all the posts will be Subject Knowledge Examination (combination of Pen-Paper and OMR Based) as per details given below.
Objective Type – 60 Questions (60 Marks)
Descriptive Type – 10 Questions (40 Marks)
In Tier-2, each objective type question carries 1 mark and there will be negative marking for wrong answers; 1/4th marks (i.e. 0.25 marks) will be deducted for each wrong answer.
The final merit lists of Assistant Commissioner (Academics), Principal, PGT and TGT will be prepared by giving weightage of 85% and 15% to the marks obtained by candidates in Tier-2 and Interview respectively. The interview will be of 100 marks.
For the post of Junior Secretariat Assistant (HQ/RO) / (JNV), candidates have to qualify in shorthand/ typing (wherever applicable). There will neither be Interview nor skill test for the posts of Lab Attendant and Multi-Tasking Staff.
After the final merit list (result) is prepared, candidates will have to mandatorily submit their preference for posts in NVS on the online portal. The allotment of post and department (KVS/NVS) will be done as per the merit and choice indicated by the candidates.

Online form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates can apply online for the Navodaya Vidyalaya TGT PGT Teacher Vacancies through the website navodaya.gov.in up to 04th Dec 2025. You can apply for more than one post if you are eligible. In such cases, you will have to pay the requisite fee separately for all the posts applied for. However, within PGTs, TGTs and Miscellaneous Teachers category, you will have to apply only in one subject/ post.
Before applying online, you must have a valid personal Email ID (if you don’t have then Create your new Email ID on Gmail) and keep ready scanned image of photograph, signature and thumb impression for uploading while filling the online application form. After successful submission of data, take a print out of the computer generated application form for record and further use. You are not required to send the printout of the online application or any other documents to Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).
The printout of application will also have to be submitted at the time of interviews/ document verification along with the self attested copies of certificates in support of Age, Qualification, Experience, Caste, Non Creamy Layer, Physical disability & Economically Weaker Section (EWS), as applicable.
Examination fee:
Assistant Commissioner and Principal – Rs 2300/-
PGT and TGT – Rs 1500/-
Other Posts – Rs 1200/-
A processing fee of Rs. 500/- will also be charged for each post category. The requisite fee can be paid online through the prescribed link at online application using Credit Card or Debit Card or Net Banking. SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from payment of exam fee.
