The Chief Commissioner of Income-tax (Cadre Controlling Authority), Ahmedabad invites applications from Indian citizens for the recruitment of meritorious sportspersons in different games and sports, as listed below, for the posts of Inspector of Income-tax, Tax Assistant and Multi Tasking Staff.
Total Number of Vacancies: 28
Inspector of Income-tax: 03 Posts
- Age limit as on 31/01/2013: 18-27 years
- Education Qualification: Degree of a recognized university or equivalent
Tax Assistant: 15 Posts
- Age limit as on 31/01/2013: 18-27 years
- Education Qualification: Degree as above and Data Entry Speed of 8000 key depression per hour.
- Age limit as on 31/01/2013: 18-25 years
- Education Qualification: Matriculation equivalent from a recognized University / Board.
Selection of the Candidates:
The applications will be scrutinized and eligible candidates with reference to the requirements mentioned above will be called for Ground / Proficiency Test (Field trial). In case large numbers of applications are received, eligible candidates will be short listed for Ground / Proficiency Test on the basis of criteria laid down by the DOP&T O.M. No. 14034/195-Estt. (D) dated 04/05/1995. Such number would be approximately ten times total number of vacancies. (ii) On the basis of their performance in Proficiency in the game / Ground (field trial), eligible candidates will be short-listed and such short-listed candidates will be required to appear for interview cum personality Test for final selection. Such number would be four times total number of vacancies. In respect of appointment to the post of Tax Assistant, the candidates are also required to qualify in the Computer Skill Test.
How to Apply:
Applications must be submitted in the format given in Annexure-ll and addressed to the ITO (PR), O/o Chief Commissioner of Income-tax (CCA), Room No.44, Ground Floor, Aaykar Bhavan, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad- 380009, Gujarat, by post / by hand so as to reach the office on or before 17.05.13 (up to 5.00 p.m.). The envelope containing the application shall also be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………….. UNDER MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS QUOTA / SPORTS CODE-………………”.
