Pay Scale – Rs 25500-81100 Pay Matrix level-4.
Total Number of Vacancies – 509 Posts (Group C)
1. Head Constable Ministerial (Male):
Open (Direct) – 295 (UR-151, EWS-31, OBC-67, SC-40, ST-06)
Ex-Servicemen – 46 (UR-17, EWS-03, OBC-10, SC-09, ST-07)
2. Head Constable Ministerial (Female):
Open (Direct) – 168 (UR-82, EWS-17, OBC-38, SC-24, ST-07)

Eligibility Criteria (Age and Qualification):
Age Limit – 18 to 25 years as on 01.07.2025 i.e. candidate should be born between 02 July 2000 and 01 July 2007. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Sportsmen/ Sportswomen, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Govt rules.
Educational Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board.
Essential Qualification (Typing Test Norms):
English Typing – Minimum speed of 30 words per minute OR
Hindi Typing – Minimum speed of 25 words per minute

Selection Process, Exam Pattern and Physical
Delhi Police Head Constable (Ministerial) selection process consists of Computer Based Exam, Physical Endurance Test, Physical Measurement Test, Documentation, Typing Test, Computer (Formatting) Test and Medical Examination, the scheme of which is as follows:
1. Computer Based Examination by SSC – 100 Marks
2. Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests (PE&MT) by Delhi Police – Qualifying
3. Typing Test on Computer by Delhi Police – 25 Marks
4. Computer (Formatting) Test by Delhi Police – Qualifying
The CBE is scheduled to be conducted during December 2025/ January 2026 (tentative). Admit Card (Call letter) for the CBE indicating date, time and venue will be uploaded on the official website of the Commission. Admit Card for other tests after CBE will be released by Delhi Police through its official website.

Computer Based Examination (CBE):
The exam will be of maximum 100 Marks and of 90 Minutes duration. The question paper will consist of total 100 Objective Type questions (01 mark each) based on General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General Intelligence, English Language and Computer Knowledge. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- General Awareness : 20 Questions (20 Marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude : 20 Questions (20 Marks)
- General Intelligence : 25 Questions (25 Marks)
- English Language : 25 Questions (25 Marks)
- Computer Knowledge : 10 Questions (10 Marks)
After completion of the exam, candidates will be called for the Physical Endurance & Measurement Test (PE&MT) on the basis of merit of Computer Based Exam. The PE&MT will be conducted at 03 Centres namely Delhi Police Academy Campus/ Wazirabad, Delhi Police Academy Campus-II/ Jharoda Kalan and New Police Lines, Kingsway Camp, Delhi.
Physical Endurance Test (PET):
Male Candidates
Race – 1600 Meters within 07 Minutes (for upto 30 years age)/ within 08 Minutes (for 30 to 40 years age)/ within 09 Minutes (for above 40 years age)
Long Jump – 12½ Feet (for upto 30 years age)/ 11½ Feet (for 30 to 40 years age)/ 10½ Feet (for above 40 years age)
High Jump – 3½ Feet (for upto 30 years age)/ 3¼ Feet (for 30 to 40 years age)/ 3 Feet (for above 40 years age)
Female Candidates
Race – 800 Meters within 05 Minutes (for upto 30 years age)/ within 06 Minutes (for 30 to 40 years age)/ within 07 Minutes (for above 40 years age)
Long Jump – 09 Feet (for upto 30 years age)/ 08 Feet (for 30 to 40 years age)/ 07 Feet (for above 40 years age)
High Jump – 03 Feet (for upto 30 years age)/ 2½ Feet (for 30 to 40 years age)/ 2¼ Feet (for above 40 years age)
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
Height – Male: 165 Cms and Female: 157 Cms.
(05 Cms relaxation in Height for ST candidates, Sons of serving/ retired/ deceased Delhi Police personnel and for Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas etc categories)
Chest (Only for Male candidates) – Unexpanded: 78 Cms, Expanded: 82 Cms.
(05 Cms relaxation in Chest for ST candidates, Sons of serving/ retired/ deceased Delhi Police personnel and for residents of hill areas)
Weight – Proportionate to height and age.

Application form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply online for Delhi Police Head Constable Ministerial Vacancies through the website ssc.gov.in from 29th September to 20th October 2025.
Before applying online, keep ready your e-mail ID, mobile number, scanned image of signature and educational details. Follow the important steps below for submitting the Head Constable Ministerial Online form:
One-Time Registration – Firstly click on the Register Now link to register yourself for the recruitment process. Submit personal details, password and additional details. After completion of registration process, you will receive Login Details with Registration Number and Password on your registered e-mail ID and it will be displayed on the screen with Login to Continue button.
Application Form – Login to online system using your Registration Number and Password. Thereafter fill all the required details and upload live photograph, signature and other required documents (if applicable). After submitting the details you will have to make the payment of fee (if applicable) either through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ UPI or SBI Challan.
Finally, take a print out of filled application form for reference and future requirements. You are not required to submit hard copy of online application or any other documents by Post.

Application fee – GEN/OBC male candidates are required to pay Rs 100/- as application fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/ UPI. SC, ST, PwD, Ex-servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
