The Uttarakhand government is going to fill 2364 Fourth Class Posts which have been lying vacant for a long time in various offices and schools of the Education Department. All these posts will be filled through outsourcing, in which local candidates will be given preference. The candidates selected in these appointments will be given an honorarium of Rs 15,000 per month.
The state government is engaged in providing infrastructure as well as human resources in the Education Department. In this regard, the government has approved the conversion of 2364 vacant posts of defunct cadre of Class IV personnel created in various offices and schools of the department into outsourced posts. A Government Order (GO) was issued in 2023 for this change.
As per the Latest News, the government has finally approved the recruitment through outsourcing for 2364 vacant posts of Class IV personnel created in various offices and schools of the education department. This matter was in the news for the last two years.
According to officials, this will ensure the appointment of one Class IV worker in each school and reservation rules will be strictly followed in the recruitment process of Class IV posts.
Recruitment in Education Department Offices
A total of 334 Class IV posts have been converted into outsourced posts in the following offices of the Education Department:
- Directorate General Office.
- Directorate of Secondary Education/ Primary Education.
- Academic Research and Training including SCERT.
- Board Office Ramnagar.
- Divisional Additional Director Office Secondary/ Primary (Garhwal & Kumaon).
- All DIETs.
- Chief Education Officer.
- District Education Officer Secondary/ Basic.
Recruitment in Inter Colleges and High Schools
A total of 2030 Class IV posts have been proposed for outsourcing under regular posts in the Inter Colleges and High Schools of the State as per the following norms:
- Every inter college having more than 1000 students will have a total of three Class IV posts including two posts of attendant and one post of sweeper-cum-watchman.
- In inter colleges with 500 to 1000 students, there will be a total of two Class IV posts, including one post each of attendant and watchman.
- Whereas in every inter colleges having less than 500 students and in every government high school, one Class IV post of watchman has been approved through outsourcing.
Along with this, in the newly upgraded schools where the posts of Class IV and sweeper have not been created, one post of watchman has been approved under outsourcing, for which recruitment is to be done.
