Post Name – Head Constable (Assistant Wireless Operator/ Tele-Printer Operator) or HC (AWO/TPO).
Pay Scale – Rs 25500-81100 Pay Matrix level-4.
Total Number of Vacancies – 552 Posts (Group C)
1. Head Constable AWO/TPO (Male): 370 Vacancies
Open (Direct) – 285 (UR-126, EWS-29, OBC-76, SC-33, ST-21)
Ex-Servicemen – 49 (UR-16, EWS-04, OBC-09, SC-11, ST-09)
Departmental – 36 (UR-16, EWS-04, OBC-09, SC-04, ST-03)
2. Head Constable AWO/TPO (Female): 182 Vacancies
Open (Direct) – 163 (UR-70, EWS-16, OBC-42, SC-21, ST-14)
Departmental – 19 (UR-08, EWS-02, OBC-05, SC-02, ST-02)
There is no provision in the Rules for reservation of vacancies for Persons with Disabilities (PwD). Departmental vacancies will be filled from the Delhi Police confirmed Constables.

Eligibility Criteria (Age and Qualification):
Age Limit – 18 to 27 years as on 01-07-2025 i.e. candidate should be born between 02-07-1998 and 01-07-2007. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC, ST, OBC, Sportsmen/ Sportswomen, Ex-Servicemen and other categories will be applicable as per Govt rules.
Educational Qualification – 12th Pass (10+2) from a recognized Board with Science and Mathematics subjects OR National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-Cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.
Professional Qualification:
English Word Processing Speed – 1000 key depressions in 15 minutes. The test will be conducted in English language only as per functional requirement.
Basic Knowledge of Computer Functions – Opening/ Closing of PC, Printing, MS Office usage, Saving & modification in typed text, paragraph setting & numbering etc.

Selection Process, Exam Pattern and Physical
SSC Delhi Police Head Constable (AWO/TPO) selection process consists of Computer Based Exam (CBE), Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Documentation, Trade Test (Reading & Dictation), Test of Proficiency in Computer Operation, Police verification and Medical examination.
The CBE will be conducted by the SSC, whereas the PE&MT and other tests of CBE qualified candidates will be conducted by Delhi Police at Delhi only. The CBE will be conducted during December 2025/ January 2026 (tentative). Admit Card (Call letter) for CBE indicating date, time and venue will be uploaded on the official website of the Commission. Admit Card for the other tests will be issued by Delhi Police through its official website.
Computer Based Examination (CBE):
Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO Exam will be of maximum 100 Marks and of 90 Minutes duration. The CBE will be conducted in Hindi and English Only. The question paper will consist of total 100 Objective Type questions (01 mark each) based on General Awareness, General Science, Mathematics, Reasoning and Computer Knowledge. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- General Awareness : 20 Questions (20 Marks)
- General Science : 25 Questions (25 Marks)
- Mathematics : 25 Questions (25 Marks)
- Reasoning : 20 Questions (20 Marks)
- Computer Knowledge : 10 Questions (10 Marks)
After completion of the exam, candidates (20 times the number of vacancies in each category) will be called for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE and MT) on the basis of merit of Computer Based Exam.
Physical Endurance Test (PE):
Male Candidates
Race – 1600 Meters within 07 Minutes (upto 30 years age)/ within 08 Minutes (30 to 40 years age)/ within 09 Minutes (above 40 years age).
Long Jump – 12½ Feet (upto 30 years age)/ 11½ Feet (30 to 40 years age)/ 10½ Feet (above 40 years age).
High Jump – 3½ Feet (upto 30 years age)/ 3¼ Feet (30 to 40 years age)/ 3 Feet (above 40 years age).
Female Candidates
Race – 800 Meters within 05 Minutes (upto 30 years age)/ within 06 Minutes (30 to 40 years age)/ within 07 Minutes (above 40 years age).
Long Jump – 09 Feet (upto 30 years age)/ 08 Feet (30 to 40 years age)/ 07 Feet (above 40 years age).
High Jump – 03 Feet (upto 30 years age)/ 2½ Feet (30 to 40 years age)/ 2¼ Feet (above 40 years age).
Physical Measurement Test (MT):
Height – Male: 170 Cms and Female: 157 Cms.
(05 Cms relaxation in Height for Sons of serving/ retired/ deceased Delhi Police personnel and for residents of hill areas i.e. Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas etc categories)
Chest (Only for Male candidates) – Unexpanded: 81 Cms and Expanded: 85 Cms.
(05 Cms relaxation in Chest for Sons of serving/ retired/ deceased Delhi Police personnel and for residents of hill areas)
Weight – Proportionate to height and age.

Application form, Important Dates and Notification
Eligible and interested candidates are required to apply online for the Delhi Police Head Constable AWO/TPO Recruitment through the website ssc.gov.in from up to 15th October 2025. Before applying online, keep ready your e-mail ID, mobile number, aadhaar number and signature and details of qualifying educational qualification like passing year, roll number, percentage/CGPA, name of university etc. Follow the important steps below for submitting Delhi Police Head Constable (AWO/TPO) Online application form:
Registration – Firstly click on the New User button to complete the One-Time Registration process (if not registered already). Submit personal details, basic details and contact details. After completion of registration process, you will receive Login Details with Registration number and Password on your registered e-mail ID and it will be displayed on the screen with Login to Continue button.
Application Form – Now login to online system using your Registration number and Password. Thereafter fill all the required details and upload photograph & signature. After submitting the details you will have to make the payment of fee (if applicable) through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card/ UPI.
Finally, take a print out of filled application form for reference and future requirements. You are not required to send hard copy of online application or any other documents by Post.

Application fee:
Candidates are required to pay Rs 100/- as application fee through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards. SC, ST, Ex-servicemen and Female candidates are exempted from payment of the application fee.
